Connor Kendall briefly addressed this point in a lecture I once read, and I’m curious whether there is a book, essay, or other source that explores the topic in greater depth. I appreciate any and all recommendations.

I don't know what kind of lecture it was, but I assume he was talking about the seven "hermetic" principles from The Kybalion.
