I started the experiment interest and then implementation while experimenting on the usual memory palace kind of thing and then expanding towards a more open map-editing perspective, one that for the sake of the experiment I shall call Mnemonic cartography that is, I made a territory, gave it ecological properties and instantiated secondary architectures. I have not deepen to much on the qualities and traits of the inside of this structures for my main focus had been on the palace itself and the ecological and rough geography of the territory. Nevertheless I see it has a lot of potential in achieving a more diverse kind of mnemonic map, scalable further to more complex structures, such as planets, systems etc, I have not explored that that much. I'm sure some sci-fi writers may have something to say about that.
I would normally enter the territory during meditation but I have failed to be consistent on it, for I'm more used to a quiet no-visualization involved kind of meditation. It is more of an active exercise to explore mnemonic dynamics and see how I can use them to function better. I expanded some of my map through software to simulate maps, like those used in role playing games. Though I don't really use them, though I like that some of them offer geopolitic or ecological expansion or foundation upon which one can readily ''have'' a map ready to explore. Though I have to admit I don't really like to rely that much on the software, I like to hold all variables readily on blank inside me and also infuse them with emotionality or in some sort of personal default, so to speak
In this latter point I understand if some of you consider this just LARP, fair if so, I'm not so interested in debating whether that is just role/playing or not, but instead of in which ways can this explore the human mind mnemonic dynamics and so forth. I must say, I have enjoyed the experiment so far, this experiment which I think must have been iterated before and is presently elsewhere in some form or another since it's a natural consequence of the palace, just.... step outside.
