Ahead of my post I want to recognize that the term "intelligence" has been handled pretty poorly historically, with a fuzzy meaning at times. I further acknowledge that people subscribe to varying methods of planetary magic and therefore approach the planetary intelligences in different ways.
When I say "planetary intelligence" I refer to the spirit or name taken from the kamea, as originally given by Agrippa. I generally reject the idea of good intelligence vs bad spirit and use an intelligence as the "name, authority, mark", and utility through which to direct a planet's "powers, spirits, forces", et al, so like an agent of coherence and direction.
Somehow, at some point, I came across a text that handled the common planetary intelligences named by Agrippa in a particular way. Each intelligence was named as the intelligence for the planet in a sign of the planet's rule. For example...
Agiel as the intelligence of Saturn in Capricorn
Graphiel as the intelligence of Mars in Ares
Nakiel as the intelligence of Sol in Leo
and so forth.
Around the same time I found some other obscure intelligences listed for Jupiter in a random document.
Ultimately a seed was planted that more than one intelligence per planet must exist. It makes sense to have one for each zodiac sign but of course I have found little to no supporting text.
I am looking at the idea of using spirits of the decans in this manner and may post that separately.
Anyway I do have a list which I am embarrassed to say I have no recollection of where or how I acquired it. The list offers different spirits to use for the office of intelligence under specific signs and the names are all recognizable spirits from various common sources. I am experimenting and must admit this seems efficacious.
The issue I have is simply the list itself. It looks made up to me lol. I know this sounds ridiculous especially if the magic enacted around these offices is working, I'm just that kind of guy, A NERD and I want everything neatly accounted for if possible.
Does anyone recognize this list and its source?
Also I want to hear what anyone has about alternative intelligences of variant spirits in those offices.
