The past few months while working on a few projects a couple of funny synchronicities happened that I joked about in some threads without going into detail.

@pixel_fortune 's post on the Lion's Gate made me decide I “had to” start something on that day, and as I usually do 1 year projects that go from birthday to birthday I had already planned this year is going to be based on ye system of Angel Magick that was delivered to John Dee and Edward Kelley.
But with my typical modifications / simplifications / introspeculations.
Leading up to this I have rewritten the core of the 24 Triangles in a way that links them to the 24 Seniors for those who can put one and one together.

Donald Tyson in his book Enochian Magic for Beginners gives a 19 day initiation / ritual to start your path in this type of Magick, but there are more than 1 or 2 things in it that I don't really agree with although I really like the idea of set period of days to work towards a finale. The archived post from Harry (Creating the Enochian Shield) sort of works that way (and it was one of the funny synchronicities that show me I'm doing something. Right?)

In my opinion Enochian is a system that has a lot of potential for tweaking as it's a complete structure while at the same time a very detailed skeleton that you can build on and add to. Please note that I said “in my opinion”. An example of what I mean by this is my version of the Sigilum Dei Aemeth in which I used only the basic design but none of the traditional letters.

This design was made into a wooden table, and this then is my Universal Table of Praxis or the altar for the work through which I hope to be worthy of becoming wise enough to understand those things that are sealed up.

As I have said (more times than some people wash their neck) I don't read that many books, and so there have been (and will be..) times when I get super excited about a discovery only to hear that everyone and their mom already knows. Not going to change my way though, I'll just crawl from one word or Name to the next like an amazed and ignorant child full of enthusiasm and wonder and do my best to figure things out along the way.

When I started a journal with all the little details of my life it honestly almost made me depressed, and apparently it cam through in the letters. The 31 days of the initial Ritual in which all Kings, Seniors, Kerubs and the Angels of the Shemhamephorash were called, was completed last Saurday, and though I did write down everything I'm going to keep that away from your eyes. There was some communication with some of the Seniors (those of the Western Table were by far the most expressive) but that really wasn't the purpose of this part as I only wanted to formally begin.

The daily Ritual was as follows:

Star-Pillar (a variant Middle Pillar with the Name of my Birth-Angel according to the letters of the Shemhamephorash)
Blessing of Water (with 3 drops of colloidal gold and 3 drops of Lunar tincture to form a Hexagram in the chalice)
The Astrachios Prayer from Grimorium Verum
(initially I also included the invocation of Scirlin but dropped that after a week)
The Enochian Rose Cross Ritual
(made two small changes: the Enochian Kabalistic Cross is now done towards the West instead of the East and the three “hisses” are spread out – 1 at the very beginning before the E.K.C., one in the middle before assuming the X pose, and one at the very last after the Amen)
The Prayer (my translation / interpretation of PGM XIII)
side note: in this Spell – the way I rewrote it – you call upon the 7 lettered Name of your Angel / your God. Here, for me, this is the Enochian Name of 7 letters that you find via your Birth-Chart
And then we come to the Keys.

I have adopted (but of course slightly modified..) Tyson's way of assigning the keys to the parts of the Great Table, with for example the Eastern Table uses the 3rd, 7th, 11th and 15th in a clockwise motion. The only thing I changed then is the way Tyson placed the 11th and 15th because I (now) don't see the logic in what he did - I know it relates to the way the Names on the Tablet of Union are ordered, but it feels off to me.

The Opening is standard, although for me, instead of the first + second, the 1st Key alone is used for the Central Great Cross or the Tablet of Union.
It's not earth-shaking because you (I) use the second Key every time as well anyway, but the 2nd Key (to me) is used for the 4 Great Crosses of the Elemental tablets. So, with the second Key you address all 12 God Names, all 4 Kings and all 24 Seniors. The way to specify is to first name the God Names + King (+ Senior) of the Tablet you are working with, then read the second Key in English, then repeat all Names, then read the Key in Enochian and then call the Names one last (third) time before making an invoking Pentagram (two handed of courze) over the altar.

As Tablets I started out by using the court-cards of the Tarot of the Golden Serpent, and from the Enochian Skrying tarot the Tablet of Union + the cards with the God Names, and for the Kings + Seniors I use one of the 24 Triangles.
It's a nice looking set-up but I felt there's still some room for playing with it (and I also had to make it my own in one way or another) So, based on the image given in Tyson's book, I made a (simplified) Great Table encircled by the 12 God Names and the 4 Name of Spirit. Instead of filling in the 4 tablets with tiny letters, I placed the 4 Seals in there – and after first making an ugly version with the order as given, I arranged them according to the Elemental associations, with the letter cross in the South, the “Sun” in the West, and the cross in the North. It feels perfect.

That was the arts and crafts part.

Is there an arts and science part? Myeah.. the 31 days (31! EL!) ended on the 7th, and yesterday I started the next phase. This one will continue for the rest of the year, with a Zodiac portion on one main day per month. My birthday is the 8th which is the day when the Sun is right in the middle of the Sign, so that's when the contact with the Zodiac Angels is made. This was a last minute decision yesterday and it gave me some problems in determining the correct (Enochian) Angel. @stalkinghyena mentioned this quirk in the Golden Dawn system but I had not idea what he meant and why he said it at the time (now I do..)
For now I follow the system of Mathers, in which the tribe of Naphtali is assigned to Virgo.

This then means that Zarzilg is the Angel of Virgo. There's a (very) good chance that at some point during the next 85 years I'll change my mind about this though, but what's more important (for now at least) was the calling of the Hebrew Zodiac Angel, because that one at least definitely is supposed to go there. Where else would he go?!

Some time ago I found a book by Paracelsus called Archidoces of Magic, and I want to incorporate it into this in some way. More specifically the second part of the book which is called Celestial Medicine. It gives the design and instructions on how to make 12 double faced Talismans for the signs of the Zodiac. It seems these talismans are (like the name of the chapter suggests...) meant to be used to treat diseases. With some logic, a lot of guessing and ye olde dictionaries of the worlde, I think I figured out that the Virgo one is intended to cure fevers. For now, for me, for this, it acts as a seal of the Angels of Virgo too. In a way, I think it even fits with (my interpretation of the meaning of) ZARZILG.

At some point, someone said that Enochian is more about the mystical experience / the visions / the lessons that you can learn from the evoked Angels but that you probably shouldn't use it to get tangible results because (and now it comes..) “it would be like using a forklift to move a twig”. I am 100 percent certain that I am misquoting it and I currently am not 100 percent sure who originally said it, but I do know that I have seen this parroted several times on the great internet. Kinda odd. The Angels of the Subangles have specific powers. Why would you (or I, or your sister's mother) not try to petition / evoke / invoke / task these Angels with the tasks that they are specialized in? Why reduce Enochian to skrying the Aethyrs and only get immaterial personal results?
Well, obviously because John was told never to use the system, Sandra. Ah, okay. Some twigs are hard to move though, especially if they are attached to a tree with roots.

Related to this, and the time of the year, I wrote this based on a prayer for All Hallows / all Souls:

Side note: in trying to determine the right Angels for an upcoming experiment, I noticed how the power of the Kerubs of the Northern and Southern tables could just as well be swapped? Maybe. We'll see at some point.

Anyway. God gave us a mind so we can change it.
I remembered reading in Tyson's book that there are 91 tutelary spirits in the 30 aethyrs because that is “12 X 7 + 7” which is a very awkward way of saying 13 X 7. There aren't always 13 (full) moons in a year, but from the beginning of this Enochian year of mine until the same date next year, there.. are.. 13 full Moons. First one is on September 17th and the thirteenth one on September 7th.
Excellent. Maybe. Not exactly. There are of course also 13 weeks in one quarter of a year but that's beside the point.
A good but tight structure is one Aethyr per 12 days – which gives roughly 4 days per Genius (with the first 4 having three days each..) And this schedule obviously brings back that fascinating number 24.

Uninspired idea of the week: the 30 Aethyrs can be linked with the Earth, the 7 Planets, the 12 Zodiac signs and.. (10 more to go.. hm..) Of course this has been thought up before, especially since the 30th Aethyr has 4 Geni for the 4 Element(al forces).
I got this in my mind now, and so inevitably it influences my vision / eksperienzez. Skrying the 30th, I saw 4 (somewhat brutish or “lowly”) Kings / royals doing a sort of crude dance where they all joined their left hand and slowly danced in a circle, dipping and rising as they moved.

The 3 Angels of the 29th Aethyr appeared on a “lunar” surface and had greyish skin. They tried to stimulate / open / dig out my third eye and spoke a mantra. This mantra kept coming back throughout the session, running “beneath” the rest of the conversation.
(afterwards) I puzzled together meanings for the names, and in hindsight I can make it make sense to myself. The planetary sauce fit for this and I'm sticking with it for now.

O, the names of the Aethyrs might be translated as well.

28th Aethyr
Had the Mercury Pantacle on the altar along with the Tablet of Union.
I translated the names of the three Angels and also chanted their names letter for letter between the Calls.
Laying down, I felt pressure on my ears, like coming from inside and going outward (visual: like something within me expanding like a ripple)
First saw a “feminine male Angel” with shoulder long blond hair who was very dismissive and uninterested.
He got replaced by an old professor. This one seemed bewildered or amazed, but definitely was too busy in his own mind to pay any attention to me. Then a large “knight” in armour with a dark blue mantle appeared, sitting on a sort of stone chair. This was the only one who seemed to want to speak. He said they were the three faces of BAG
(I am aware – of course – that my expectations are heavily influencing this, so it's no surprise that again there were three “Angels” here, and that one of them was effeminate and another one was a student / professor. The knight was unexpected. But it might be explained with the three Angels being embodiments of the three letters of the name of the Aethyr. BAG is branch – rise – cut. Maybe. If I apply that same idea to the 29th RII it is pure – gate – gate, and well, it makes sense to me. In the 30th with 4 Angels of course it all falls apart though)
Afterwards I remembered a confusing passage from Picatrix about the decans of the Planets, in which it is unclear to the translator (and me) what is meant with “faces of the planets”.
But it might fit with the 91 Geni
On two days this week I had dreams involving a fertile / green mountain that looked to be my destination (or at least a place where I could get to if I'd went for a walk)

27th Aethyr was fun. I believe the Angelic choir of Venus, the Tharshishim have been misinterpreted / misspelled (maybe deliberately) and I “corrected” the spelling before. These Angels (then.. of course..) took the form of nice looking welcoming ladies but there were more than 3 and they formed a sort of circuit. The name of the Aethyr could be gather together – rise – rise.
Following (or stealing) the idea that the aethyrs and aeons are connected I see some resemblances but the order has to be changed to make everything fit neatly. Sophia is closest to man, and Sophiel is a Lunar Angel. The moon is our neighbour, but in the form of Sandalphon Sophia is even closer (among us ruling Earth), so yes in-Dee(d) Sophia is compatible with the 30th Aethyr and the realm of the 4 Elements. Moving up, the next name would be Telethus. In mythology Telethusa is the wife of Ligdus who tells her that if she gives birth to a girl it will be put to death. Telethusa tricks the husband and raises the daughter as a son who later as an adult male marries a woman. Maybe the name Telethus could be translated as “distance + sacrifice”. Telethusa's “deceiving of her husband” or the “illusion” she created goes well with the moon and her ever changing shape + the rule over the inner waters that always are in motion and distort every reflection. It also makes me think of the way the old Germanic tribes, as well as the modern German language, see the Sun as female and the Moon as male ( die Sonne und der Mond)

But the next name in order doesn't fit the narrative I am trying to force upon it. Entirely based on a very superficial understanding of the names: if the 28th is in some way to be linked with Mercury then it would make more sense if this was Synesis “unification / meeting / intelligence” (the 26th). Mercury is regarded as the planet that rules over quick thinking, making connections, and also with the hermaphrodite. Based on this I (for now..) declare that, in our sacred Order of the Ever-Changing Somethings, Synesis is number 28. Now, taking one step back, let's continue with the regular schedule and rejoice in the similarities between Macariotes “blessedness / happiness” and the planet of joys and art Venus. I said a couple of sentences ago that the name of the Choir of Venus might have been misinterpreted. If you haven't read that then you aren't reading this, but, lemmy explain anyway: Tharshishim is an alternative name for this class of Angels, and it is believed to come from ThrShISh (“breaking”). Really something that comes to mind when you think of Venus, right? No. But if you spell it like the word ThRTzH(IM) it becomes “the pleasant ones” and gives a Gematria that reduces to 7 for Netzach / Venus.

And now ladies and gentle friends, we have arrived at the Sun.
Through a synchronicity (i.e. looking for the source of a Greek ritual) I found a book on old Coptic Christian Magick that gave instructions for ascending through the aeons. In it was given a short text that mentioned that each aeon has three (evil) archons who inhabit it, but each aeon is ruled by an Angel that in turn is to be invoked to banish the archons. For each angel a unique seal, number, name and invocation are given (though the seals were omitted in the example I was reading). This, and the words used can only make you think of Enochian. The one (big) difference is that in the system of aethyrs there are 3 angels that rule over three geni (= archons?) and the sigils given are those of the geni. Not entirely sure what that implies yet. The short invocation given for each aeon are all slightly different but very similar. They have three words and the last word is super close to the name of the ruling Angel. For now, for me, I am going to continue to include the three names of the Geni (spelled letter for letter with the names of the letters to make each name into a sentence..), then add the three sigils, and a short invocation with two words loaded with Z's + the name of the Aethyr. Of course.. if the three lettered name of the Aethyr is in fact a description of the three Geni (each letter being one of them) then this could be the one “Angel” who rules over them.

The names of the Aethyr and three Geni spelled in full translate to
DES: valuable window (to) spreading
Bazchim: the branch (to) rise (and) gather, received by man, the gate expands
Nigrana: bond (with the) gate, break (through and be?) pure, rise, bond and rise

Tablet + Pantacle of Sol on the altar. Performed invoking two-handed-hexagram of Sol, the prayer, first two calls + the 19th. Traced the sigils over the Tablet of Union, spoke the names letter by letter and an Enochianized three word invocation

On a yellowish/orange (Solar..) surface, the three were sitting on thrones, wearing golden crowns. They were sitting miles apart but in the shape of a triangle and I was in the middle of it. They stood up and joined hands. I then saw my own hands making the triangle shape and passing through it.

Okay. Heavily influenced by my assumptions and previous miscoveries, but I am for the moment satisfied with this method. The aeonic name that fits best seems to be Ecclesiasticus. This name is translated as “son of Ecclesia”, with Ecclesia being the community, the assembly or the church. That of course makes you (me) think of Jesus. Fun fact to distract: the Latin name for the apocryphal book “wisdom of Jesus of Sirach” is Ecclesiasticus. Throughout the ritual I kept thinking of Sirach but I only read this connection later.
In one of my amateur etymologies for Sirach (in Grimorium Verum) I translated Sirach as ShR + RVCh or “the Prince of Spirit(s)” and from there figured that the Triangle of the Art (a circle in a triangle in a circle) is the Seal of Sirach.​

Becoming the Great Table

or: Spiralling into control
or: from Enochian to Benochian
or: hey, here are some letters

I wanted to make an Enochian Middle Pillar ritual (in part because EMP is such a nice term) and see if it could be used as a frame to work with the Kerubs / Dispositors, but after some tweaking and a fortunate synchronicity I think I made it into something more / else.
Together with the Two-Handed-Hex this seems like a good opening for any Enochian ritual.
It is based (retroactively) on the word OM, which in the Enochian script kinda looks like “EL”
Outside of Enochian this short word is (probably) the most famous mantra and everybody will at least recognize it. The sound immediately brings up the ideas of meditation, spiritualism and bald guys in orange dresses. Here (in Yazawarld) OM is the word vibrated once at the end of (this) Middle Pillar.

In the Angelic language the word OM is Knowledge / Understanding.
O – Med – Self
M – Tal – Expand

So by vibrating this once at the end you confirm that you understand, and you have grown by it.
Seems compatible to me.

Now, I did take a quick look at Israel Regardie's book on the Middle Pillar (to check if I wasn't reinventing the wheel – chakra translates to wheel right?) but there's practically no overlap.

Instructions:

First you need to chill the funk out. Do the LBRP and preferably follow it up with the Two-Handed-Hex of Sol up to “ego sum lux solis”.
In this you have (then) already formed a middle pillar with the 7 planets and the Enochian name of your Birth-Angel.
Now vibrate (or whisper / sing) the 4 Names of Spirit, BUT change the well established order of EHNB to
EXARP, BITOM, HCOMA, NANTA
Do not rattle this off but state each Name clearly and respectfully.
See / imagine the corresponding center light up WHITE with every Name.
EXARP = Air = the head
BITOM = Fire = the heart
HCOMA = Water = the genitals
NANTA = Earth = the feet
After this, read aloud the 1st Enochian Call in English
Then repeat the Names + visualization.
Now speak the 1st Call in Enochian
After this you vibrate the 4 Names once more, and again see the 4 spheres / centers become super bright white lights.

(viewed from above it would be spinning counterclockwise, but when seen from below it is spinning clockwise! It is probably best to imagine it as having the shape of a galaxy like the Milky Way)

See / imagine a bright white beam coming from the middle of the disk and go down into the second disk. This is also spinning counterclockwise when viewed from above and clockwise if seen from below. See this second sphere / disk turn a bright red as you

You can do a circulation of the Light as in the normal MPR, but note that this is going in the opposite direction. The light travels DOWN through you and UP around you. It is a reversal of the standard “fountain of light”.

If you feel the ritual has achieved its purpose ( = if you believe you are ready to continue with the rest of the rituals or want to stop) then vibrate

In the normal / traditional order of the Godnames in Enochian (the 12 lettered ones) the initials spell O-M-O-M
You might have noticed that in this Middle Pillar with the changed order of the elements this neat word no longer is.
But. The way the names of the 4 Kings are written on the tablets is in a spiral. The 4 disks that are spinning are spirals.
When the Spiral is placed on the Middle Pillar
starting in Earth
then Air
then Water
then Fire
you will see it does spell the word MOMO which could be related to the words
MOMAO (crown)
MOMAR (crowned)
and so,
MOMO is the “crown” of the King.
In the MPR given above, in step 4 you can alternatively spiral the energy.

To circulate it after you have formed the complete Pillar with the 4 centers, direct the energy with a spiral starting in Earth and ending in Fire, from there allow the energy to go down into Water and start the spiral from there with the end in Air – at which point it goes down through the Middle Pillar again to Earth.

I hit a bit of a (series of small) speedbump(s) these past months, starting with the creation of a Pantacle for Mars made from stainless steel. Took quite some effort to make, but it turned out very neat and worthy of the god of the red planet. But. When you make something and there;s not really a reason for it (yet) then the Universe will provide a reason, right? So within a week after finishing the talisman I had a “hiccup” at work where my boss then told me he was close to firing me. Not to get in the details, but I did a Martian ritual after this, and everything is fine now. Next step was Jupiter. I started writing a short tutorial on Magickal Squares that week, made a beneficial square, and (lo..) it manifested in a good opportunity to increase my income. Nice.
But then came the 23rd aethyr, (which I am linking with Saturn) and even though it wasn't a real failure, I felt I wasn't yet up for it. TOR is a German word meaning “gate” and the symbolism / my thoughts indicated I had to first do a sort of Saturnian offering before I could pass through that gate. For this I started making some art and a small summary which I posted last week.
This Saturday I also made a fat lead talisman of Saturn which is now then the second of the 7 metal Pantacles. Now let's get ready to ramble.

The reason I am quoting this now is:
the infamous name PELE found on the ring. Earlier this year I spent some time on playing with the letters and the central design. It seemed a reasonable enough idea (to me) that the figure could have been a sigil. Using the Enochian alphabet I made a fat ring with an interpretation of the seal.
In the past weeks two other ideas floated up to my conscious mind.
The first one is linked with the word MOMO. As you know (or have read a couple of sentences ago) these letters are the initials of the four 12 lettered Names and in Enochian it sorta resembles LELE. I have tried before to find a method in which YHVH would be transcribed as PELE but couldn't find a satisfying solution. I think it is possible (but I have of course no way of knowing) that instead of PELE the letters that Kelley saw in the vision were the Enochian characters for OMOM.

However, another Name of God may be hiding in the name PELE. Please look at the 4 lettered Name that in the LBRP is vibrated in the North: AGLA. Although this name is an acronym for Atah Gebur Leolahm Adonay, it is also a word meaning “gate”. On the backside of Dee's Sigilum Dei Aemeth the “seal of God” is shown. It is a circle with a cross and the name AGLA. If you keep in mind that the name has the meaning of Gate, it could be a door into the Enochian system. Could be. Maybe. Perhaps.

If you count 4 letters from A (in our normal Western alphabet) you come to E,
four letters from G gives L (if the I and J are considered to be 1 letter), and
4 letters from L you will find P. So Agla = Eple = the lettaz of PELE

From there we (or I) can transcribe the letters into Hebrew to discover new hidden meanings. OM becomes SQ,
and if this is Hebrewed into ShQ, which has a number of meanings based on “joining” (joint / woven / meeting place), it appears to make some sense.
MOMO becomes QShQSh “to knock / strike / shake / tingle / ring / to straighten / to shoot forth / to collect / to become stiff / be erect”
There are some single letters, and some words are “thrust together like the palms of my hands”... bu the first sentence of the first Call then could be:​

A particularly interesting thing to note is that IAD in Enochian becomes NAH (NEH) in Hebrew, and IADNAH of course is “knowledge” in ye Language of the Angels. So, to me this is a Key. However:
“.. in magick it is eminently possible for many contradictory ideas to be simultaneously true..” so I am also still sticking with the rule that (on another level) the letters are Sumerian words.

Anything else? Yeah..
Some peepholes say Jehovah and others say Yahweh, and you and I say Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey right? Have you ever wondered if these 2 are the same?

They are not.
I was reading in Papus' Tarot of the Bohemians where he speaks about YHVH a bit in the first chapters, and how the letters represent the 4 elements. Not new info, but the drawing he gave of the cross suddenly made me realize something about EIOA as it can be found in the Great Cross.
You see, I now believe that Jehovah is a banishing Name and Yahweh an invoking one, if the same rule of deosil for banishing and widdershins for invoking is applied. I know the 4 names appear right and mirrored, so it's a matter of choice (or insight, or delusion, or whim..) where you start, but if you (become the Great Table by backing into it and) take the E of EXARP at the top – or in your head – and the I of BITOM on your left hand, the A of the reversed EXARP at the bottom, and the O of the reversed BITOM on your right hand, then you can see this cross:

A golden man came from my left side and took me on a journey. We entered a castle where an old king was sitting on a throne. I saw the castle from above, it was on a mountain and it was one of 4. I felt a very strong urge coming up and the Angel told me to let it rise and the mantra ShATVRVTASh made me a canal for the fire. It was very pleasant. “Do not worry” the Angel assured and then he said this was LIN – even though I hadn't used the call of the aethyrs.

It is a fortunate coincidence (or proof that there is some Truth in this) that Paraoan is the (alternative..) ruler of the 65th region, which is part of the 22nd Aethyr. This confirms more or less that there is a threshold or distinction between the first 8 (30 / 23) and the aethyrs that follow. The number 65 of course is Gematria of ADNI and in the Golden Dawn system the grade of Tiphareth where one should encounter the HGA. Furthermore, there are 22 letters in Hebrew but 21 in Enochian...so the 22nd Aethyr is important and perhaps the coming ones are not (as I had initially theorized) linked with the Zodiac + 10 more, but this 22nd one is separate, just like the 30th was.

Let's for a minute look at the aethyr's name LIN:
If (yes..if..) this is decyphered with the Sumerian it translates as
He – Gate – Bond / Totality
and if (yes..) we “Agla” it the word becomes
PNR – the consonants of Paraoan, though not in order. In Hebrew I could not find this as a word exactly but PN (“lest”) maybe can be added to the soup of possible dead ends / leads / knots / psychotictok video-topics for your dog to watch.

@stalkinghyena (sorry for making you read everything twice..) mentioned Crowley's interpretation of LIN as “the Void”. I see that in Hebrew Lahmed Yod Nun can be interpreted as “to be stubborn”. Which is a sign from God that I should get on with it.

Something else:
91 is a (somewhat) significant number as it is the Gematria of AMN (Amen)
and 93 is (one of) the number(s) of Thelema
the middle of this then is 92
“vessel” and “garment” can be translated as MANA (although, to be fair, this can also be spelled as MNA, MN and MAN) but if we use this spelling the Gematria is 92 which links the number with the idea of either putting something on (a garment) or becoming the container of something (a vessel). In my mind this “proves” that PARAOAN is tied to the idea of you (the Magicker) becoming more / something else than you were.
And.. to jam more thinklinks into this: there also seems to be a link (in rhyme at least) to the Enochian NOAN (“You have become”).

After this first “freestyled” contact, I attempted to skry the 22nd Aethyr for real on the following Sunday. Usual preliminaries: LBRP, Blessing of Water with Astrachios, (a slimmed down) PGM prayer, the two-handed-hexagram of Sol, the Enochian Middle Pillar, a brief call to Paraoan, and then the Call of the Aethyrs. But now I got stuck on a thing that I have noticed and ignored every previous time. I ploughed through but: nothing. The mirror was covered with a glowing purplish aura again but that's it. Laying down, only darkness.

IDOIGO is translated in the Call as “Him that sitteth on the Holy Throne” which would be fine and could be taken as just one of the mysterious titles of God, similar to MADZILODARP “the God of Stretch forth and Conquer” in the 16th or IADOISMOMAR “Him that is, was and shall be crowned” in the 8th , but since IDOIGO is a name on the Eastern part of the Eastern Tablet it now has started to become impossible for me to ignore the possibility that just like the name of the Aethyr this name also should be changed – even though there is no indication that the Angels intended this to be the case.

But this isn't painting by numbers. I am deliberately trying to make a puzzle without looking too much at the photo on the box, maybe even looking at photos on other boxes instead to use these as inspiration. For why? BAGLE? Well, so I can say that my failures are only failures because they don't match with others' successes of course.
So this is how it is. After stepping through the gate of bonding, and entering the place of stubbornness: the Mantra's.​

Sometimes, when you wake up, you know that you had a dream and you feel that it is stored away somewhere in your head, just beyond your reach, and no matter how hard you try to remember it, you never seem to get beyond the memory of having dreamed “something and it was about something ”. Yet you know it is there, inside of you. I have the same thing with Enochian Gematria. Last year, after seeing a clue in the occurrence of the numbers 7 and 24, I spent more than a cup of hours believing I was really close to solving the problem of the numerals. But after some incredible revelations came some disappointing realizations, and I had some pizza and a coffee.
So.
Take the following with as many grains of salt as you want:

When I called the Angel, he fell backwards into me.
Paraoan said that he is “like gold” and that the Angelic word for gold is AOAN. He also said that there is a link between gold and Will, although not in a direct manner. Through it a key to Gematria can be discovered. The word he used for will was MARISHI or MARISHA (or similar). He also explained that Angels don't have genitals because genitals are inseparable from Will, and that Angels merely perform the will of God. Angels like it when you invoke them, and they enjoy all types of physical sensations that humans choose to experience out of free will. I also asked him about Zagzagel, and he said that he is “one from among us”.

These aren't shocking revelations, I know. That there is a connection between the concept of gold and (free) will doesn't seem too far fetched, and isn't a mind-blowing new Truth. The idea that genitals ( / sexual pleasures) are linked with (experiencing or exerting) free will isn't strange either. Now, the new words.. Gold and Will and they shall unlock a Gematria? This was interesting and has occupied most of my time this past month (and many minutes before this month too).

I will skip over a few of the failures but you'll have plenty to lol about.
One of the ideas I threw up was that the Gematria is based on a 7 fold numerical system. If the letters are placed on a heptagram, and a “sigil” is traced to connect the first 7 known numbers, this same sigil can be used in one other way to connect 7 other letters in order. These would be the third group of 7 and a different sigil would make the second 7 (which bridges B and P). This is a solution but since the second “sigil” or pattern is different than the other two, there is no basis for it / no justification, and more importantly, it still doesn't explain the numbers we already know.

So let's forget about that for a minute or a century.

Looking into the (new) word AOAN
There are 8 backwards letters in the Great Table. Seven of these make the name PARAOAN, and the first 6 form nice pairs: PA, RA and OA. The N and the L are not next to each other, and Dee was told that the L should go with the Names of Spirit of the Great Black Cross because it has more power than the N.
This is relevant for (my version of...) Enochian Astrology where L is always the letter assigned to Sol in your birthchart – which means L is always a part of your Angel's name, and if you perform (my version of..) the Enochian Middle Pillar / Becoming the Great Table (see above) then the L is part of it, and is where the energy of the spirals is drawn towards at the very end when you vibrate OM

Now, if instead of the N the L would have been used to make the mysterious 92nd name, then it would be PARAOAL which translates into Hebrew as
PAR “to rule over” + AVAL “the Will of God”. It will make sense in a minute or a century.

So. AOAN as the Angelic word for gold.
In this world of mine where anything can be everything, there is no reason why this could not be spelled in Hebrew as AVN “nothing / vanity / lightness / falsehood /wickedness / SUBSTANCE / WEALTH”... So there you have it france. AOAN as a word for gold is proven without a doubt and you can be mad about it for as long as you want to.
Extra bonus content for the loyal reader: AVH = “sexual desire” + AN “when / where / how long”.
And the other word MARISHI for “Will”:
I see a link with some known words, like IMUAMAR (“apply yourselves to us”) and MAR also is the last syllable in IADOIASMOMAR (“Him that was, is, and shall be crowned”) - compare: MOMAO “the crowns”. This makes me think “MAR” can be taken as the final stage or pinnacle (or: the planned outcome, or, what it is to be, or.. what is willed..)
MAR-IS(h)-I is starting to make sense to me now although I can't really put it into convincing words at the momo..
In Hebrew however, MRAShH “that which is at the head”, and MRISh “joist / beam” seem to correspond with the idea. I am leaving things unsaid but whatever, you might understand or don't (care).

So. “What's the Dee-l with Gematria then?” Well, if you are still here then I might come to it in a minute or a century. I was told that Crowley gave a value of 38 for OL, and I realized that is the value of the Hebrew AVAL (see above).

From this came the idea that the value of Enochian two-letter words is calculated with a combination of Hebrew Gematria and the rules for Latin numerals. In single digits, O is 5 and in two-digits, O is the Hebrew Vav (6).
PARAOAN – the 65th in the list.
Which leads to the following explanation for the two-lettered words with an O of which the numerical value is known:

O = Vav = 6
L = Lahmed = 30
S = Samech = 60 (yet reduced to 6)
X = Kaf + Shin = 320 (but reduced to 32)
P = Peh = 80 (reduced to 8)
B = Beth = 2

OL (“I” / “Mighty”) = 24
6 is the smaller number, and the L comes before the O in the alphabet so the 6 is subtracted from the 30 instead of being added
OS (only given as numeral) = 12
the S comes after the O in the Enochian alphabet, so therefore this 6 is added
OX (only given as a numeral) = 26
because the X comes before the O in the alphabet and thus the 6 is subtracted from 32
OP (only given as numeral) = 22
8 minus 6 = 2 and for two-letter words the result always has to have two digits, therefore the 2 is doubled
OB (only given as numeral) = 28
B comes before O in the alphabet, and so the 6 has to be subtracted from 2 which is impossible because it is the smaller number. The 2 is doubled for 22 to which the 6 is then added to get 28.

Yeh. This is truth. Other vowels use slightly different rules, and bigger numbers have another set of rules though.

456 is 12 X 38

But anyway. In his book on Enochian Magic, on page 274, Tyson mentions “the Apocalypse Working” and this refers to the beginning of Liber Loagaeth, where Dee is told that he should not try to discover the meaning of the book (Loagaeth) “till the very hour that he shall call thee”. And, a few weeks later Dee is told that from it (Loagaeth) shall be restored all holy books and the true religion and arts, which after having spread a while, “then commeth the end”.

Tyson's use of the word Apocalypse has led to many brave black magic werewolf faery sorcerers mumbling the Keys and expecting the dark lord to come into their bedroom, and just as many not so brave armchair mystics are living in constant fear that they might unwillingly utter the one secret word that lifts the veil that is our only protection from angelic bad guys that are waiting just beyond our perception.

Nevertheless, the “hour that he shall call thee” is death, and when that time comes for us we shall understand the book of Loagaeth. To me, this is different from studying, theorizing and practicing Enochian (as Loagaeth seems a different type / another dialect) and it will not lead to the end of the world, although the true “knowledge and understanding..” of Loagaeth will not come before your final moment of existence when you are so overwhelmed that you can say nothing more than “I am perplexed”.
This does not mean however that one (me, you and / or everybody) should stop trying to read between the lines – although.. you might bring about your own end... because.. He might get out his phone and give you a call when he sees you coming down the block..

The other day I thought (..and then I told my cat, and then I wrote it down..) that a “problem” with new funky ways of doing the Magixkz – or creating awesome personalized versions of classic Rituals – is that it either gets dumbed down to the point where it's no longer Magick, or that a basic concept gets dressed up with so much un-necessities and strings of words and names that no one can ever do the rite right without notes, papers, scrapbooks or in some cases even video courses on the proper choreography and pronunciation. Am I talking about myself? Of Korsakov man, who else would be talking about me.
Never mind. I had some breakdowns and breakthroughs and made some discoveries these past 4 weeks but I won't bother you with most of them( today..)
So.
Depending on how you see yourself or want to be seen, you will say that the demons or angels chose you to deliver “fresh fever from the skies”, or you will say that you came up with it. Doesn't really matter that much, it's all inspiration. Something unseen has found a way to become visible.
These past weeks I have been doing a couple of rituals with the Angels of the Subangles of the Elemental tablets. Of course not the way it should be done but with a pseudonochian structure (or maybe some dust in my mind's eye was swept away by the wings of an Angel who wanted to be seen). One for healing, two for insights, and also skryed two aethyrs.

So. Via dee-construction (“The all new Pracktical Pseudonochia of dr. Whut”), one of the rituals this month was with the Angels of the Sub-Angle of East of the Southern Tablet. Goal was not to see or hear anythings but to do some good for someone. I did the ritual and closed.

A couple days later I skryed the 19th aethyr. The Angel again spoke about sex, Angels and the Holy Spirit. Afterwards it got me thinking about the Mass of the Holy Spirit. Very likely thoughts from within trying to cum to the surface. Doesn't matter. I looked into that Mass but decided that isn't the thing for me. Synchronicities of course tried to persuade me of the opposite.

The following week, the session of ZEN wasn't very fruitful. I was thinking about too much stuff, and plans and ideas in the back of my mind kept rushing to the front the entire time. After half an hour or so I closed the ritual and asked that the Angel would send me a message in my dream. I don't remember if I had a dream that night – currently it's pretty busy at work, I drink more coffee than I normally do, and I wake up very early. But the following day I did have an unusual dream about a very slick colleague who in the dream was dressed in a white tuxedo, and he pointed to a girl (looking dirty, with smudges in her face and unkempt hair) and said that she wasn't Mercurius.
I hate that message.

Now let me tell you about an amazing new funky way of doing a Magickxz.
At the beginning of a “bigger” ritual, and every Sunday, I used to make Blessed Water. Pour a big sip's worth in my chalice, add three drops of colloidal gold and three drops of a Lunar tincture (in the shape of a hexagram), and recite the Astrachios prayer over it. Recently I felt it had to be a bit more traditional, and I added one grain of salt in the center of the hexagram. Then I felt I needed to add a host / communion bread to this opening ritual. As I was sculpting the following, I found a lengthy tutorial in the archive (which I posted for acknowledgment) and then created this recipe:

1 teaspoon of flour
1 teaspoon of water
1 grain of salt

mix this with your hands, roll it into a small ball and press it flat into a disk
use it all just try to make it as flat and circular as you can
dust the bottom with a tiny bit of extra flour
use a fork to prick holes in it, to stop it from puffing up in the oven

(and then you might as well make a figure that covers most of the surface and somewhat resembles the Jerusalem cross)

bake on 200 degrees Celsius

(whole procedure, making & baking, takes less than 15 minutes)

Then I hold it up and state “Hoc est Corpus”, eat it and wash it down with the Blessed Water before continuing with the 723 other opening rituals I wrote because I wanted to remove unnecessary clutter..

As I was then reading in John Dee's Five Books, the passage where Uriel and Michael give Dee's angel a host with the letters NA on it suddenly triggered something in me. NA is the name of the letter H. In Sumerian the word Na is “man”. So, if the host (the communion bread) is “man” / the Jesus, and NA is “I pray thee” in Hebrew, this ritual of the Holy Host is more than eating the son of God. You are making it the wish, and as you sanctify it, and eat, you fulfill your desire.

However. Great as that (to me new meaning to the ritual) is, what it really led to was a closer look at comparing the Enochian letters to the Hebrew. More on that later (not today).​

Let's for a minute go with the idea that in the quote above (from the 3rd Call) the 12 Seats refer to the 12 months / Zodiac signs. It's a crazy leap. I know. But with that in mind, let's play with the number 456 – after this short intermezzo...

I wanted to come up with a neat and easy trick to make a calendar for the moon phases and Mansions that could be used and reused for the rest of your (or my) life, and when I then, after going through the years, discovered the Rule of 19, I saw God's hand come out of the clouds and give me a thumbs up. I asked my googlemachine if she knew what I meant and she lolled and slapped my fat face with Meton.
So... here is the Rule of 19 (or the Metonic cycle as it is known to the rest of humanity):

After 19 years the Moon will have the same phase and be in the same Mansion on the same date. For example, on the 12th of May this year the moon is Full and in the 19th Mansion. In 2044 (19 years from now) the Full Moon of May will occur on the 12th and be in the 19th Mansion.

Another result of this is that the full moon jumps ahead 19 days per year. It goes to the end of the month and then jumps back to the first and continues. So in 2026 the Moon will be full on the 31st (and on the 1st as well) and in 2027 on the 20th, in 2028 on the 8th (20 + 11 is 31 + 8 = 19) etc. That's neat and easy I think. Now back to 456 and how to do the thing with the things.

In Enochian, when God speaks of Himself in the Calls, He uses the word OL and this also means 24, or the number of hours in a day. If you multiply 24 with 19 you get 456. So, the jump of 19 days (from one month's Full Moon to the same month a year later) could be written as
456 hours.

But maybe that's just a coincidence. It's okay, take a day off. Then know that there are 91 rulers of the Aethyrs. So take, let's say, 91 days (13 weeks) for Air, then 91 days for Water, then 91 days for Fire and then 91 days for Earth. With that day of rest at the start that's one year of 365 days. Now take 91 days for Spirit to come to
456 days.

“Yeah.. well I donut think so maybe it's a reference to the 490 years of the Olympic Spirits, it's like a correction or some tin..”
Okay, could be. The only reason I can think of (now) would then be that 490 can't be divided by 19 and breaks the rule. The cycle of the reign of the Olympic spirits starts in 60 BC and if my math is correct (and it probably isn't) then the Full Moon of March fell on the 19th / full moon of the Spring Equinox.
However: a full cycle of this corrected reign (7 x 456) = 3192 and this divided by 19 = 168 and that is the number of hours in a week. Hm. Maybe.. okay, just because three is a Magick number, then this explains
456 years.

Less convincing: there are 16 Sub-Angles
456 divided by 16 is 28.5
the Moon takes 28.5 (earth) days to spin around its axis once, so 1 Lunar day = 28.5
This is more or less supports something that I am working on and am very excited about. Yay.

Now, the quote from the 3rd Call could then mean:
I have made Angels, to govern according to the rule of 19, in the Zodiac, in the 7 and in the four parts of the day, for a continual cycle.

O and “Beginning” is IAOD – and in the 19th Call it is given as IAODAF (and..) AF is translated as 19

Now the Dear Diary part:​

Last month I did a(nother) ritual for someone who is sick, and during it a spontaneous image came how she would be walking in a forest and touch a tree to pass her sickness to. Couple days later someone else asked me to go for a walk. Currently they are cutting down dying trees in the local forest, and we passed one that she pointed out to me. It had weird misshapen large holes all over it, like an aggressive “thing” with a monster mouth had gnawed it. Felt very surreal. The friend was non-stop telling me that I'm an idiot (as usual) as we walked. We saw a couple of dung beetles wiggling on their back and helped them. I found a pebble that looked pretty much like the beetle and I gave it to her. She said she doesn't need my shit and threw it away.
I got sick for a week, had an epiphany about the date when I got sick, the friend hates me, and the weather is nice.

Also went to a small hidden pond in our local park. I had made a sigil for Nechsha and brought a red onion. The ground around the pond was extremely soggy and I couldn't draw the sigil on the earth, so I got a couple of twigs and pressed these in the ground (in the form of the sigil). Closed my eyes and called out to the King. After a couple of minutes the birds (that had been chirping the whole time) got silent. I opened my eyes and saw one single water strider sitting right in front of me, which I addressed as Nechsha. Pushed the onion into the ground, in the center of the sigil, and waited for anything. A small plume from a dandelion landed on my sleeve and I heard a name in my mind. Stuck the plume on the sigil paper with some spit, wrote the name and went home. Etymologicking the name I found it to mean “worker of sacred sex”. Alright. Some interesting dreams were had.

This started with a thought about the Godname NA, the Enochian letter with that same name, and the realization that it (NA / H) might be better transcribed as the Hebrew Chet (Ch) and if it was to be linked with the Tarot then it would be the Chariot and not the Emperor (or the Star – depending on the deck you are using).

A short conversation between Galvah and Dee and Kelley in True and Faithful inspired me to assign the rest of the cards as well:

Galvah: “Whom thou sawest here shall govern over 21 kingdoms.”
Dee: “if there be no mystery in that speech, the Conquest must be great, and the trouble great and strange.”
E.K.: “She goeth on her way along a lane”
Dee: We know not who should be that King so shewed.”
Galvah: “Sure thy demands are fully answered. Consider thou what thou seekest, and of whom thou seekest, and by whose help, then look to that which is declared. I will follow my office, for in those things wherein thou art inquisitive I have shewed the End.”

This conversation between Galvah and Dee took place in June of 1583 and just prior to it, she had shown Kelley a vision which appeared to be an Alchemical Union. I may be misunderstanding it, but it seems to me that she was giving a clue about a link between Alchemy and the Enochian Alphabet. Kelley was an alchemist and it's not strange that the symbolic imagery of this art was so prevalent in the system, but there are also some interesting sentences in the Calls that suggest a connection.

So I made, deleted and rewrote a lot of tables which I every time regarded as “the final and ultimate truth” before inevitably discovering a new tiny mistake that required the whole thing to be redone. When this was settled the next step was to redesign the Tree of Life for an alphabet of 21 letters. Along the way I found a lot of inspiration (or guidance) in the language of the Calls that affirmed what I had understood from Galvah's words, and it steered me more and more in the direction of Alchemy and the Hermetic Art.

A phrase in the 10th Call could be interpreted as referencing the original (Hebrew) Tree of Life. I liked the words, and to avoid unnecessary confusion I will not call the paths on this Enochian Tree “paths” but Branches.

For the same reason, the 10 centers, will be called Seats instead of “sephiroth”.
After many revisions this Tree now is compatible with the revised Table of Raphael. This means that the 4 elements (in the form of the Zodiac cards) are all found at the heart of the Tree and in that unique Enochian order.
The zodiacal, planetary and elemental correspondences are those of the Sepher Yetzirah – and then from Hebrew transcribed to Enochian – but here these correspondences are then paired with the cards like they are in the Golden Dawn. It is a Wedding after all.
For example: The seventh letter of the alphabet, Graph (E) is the Hebrew (H) Heh. In Yetzirah this is Aries and the Empress. Here though it is the Emperor, like in standard Golden Dawn tarot decks where H = Aries = the Emperor = IV and on my Tree the card is the Branch between Body and Soul.

Hey, wait eh.. Soul? Yes. Instead of Kether and Chokmah, the Alchemical principles of Salt and Sulphur (Body and Soul) are added to the 7 Planets and Earth. This means that Mercury, as the planet of Knowledge and Understanding, is placed at the top of the Tree as Spirit. And the Middle Pillar is Earth (Kingdom), Water (Salt), Fire (Sulphur), and Air (Spirit) as it is in my version of the Enochian Middle Pillar

The Branches are assigned the 21 letters and Trumps. The Fool is the only Card of the Major Arcana placed in one of the “Seats”; the Kingdom.

There are more than a couple of these changes that make it not just a simple 1 to 1 of Enochian to Hebrew to Tarot. If used with an actual deck, it might be best to go for one that does not have the letters on the cards, to avoid unnecessary confusion.

However, even if the Seats / Centers on this Tree are not given the same numericals as the corresponding Sephiroth on the Hebrew Tree of Life, the Minor Arcana follow the classical numbering because of the planetary correspondences:
the sixes are assigned to the Sun (Tipharet on the Hebrew Tree of Life, and ROR in this arrangement) even though ROR is not actually given the number 6 or even placed in the center etc.

The Tree is intended to be viewed as being a mirror and you are to imagine yourself stepping into the image backwards. The concept is not new.

The Hermetic Principles of the Kybalion, the classical Virtues and Sins, and the Alchemical Processes are included as a general guideline.

O, this is a Tree of Ascension, so you start from the bottom.

The Names of the Seats are:

Salt / Body – BALYE (Salt)
Venus – TOH (Triumph)

As the “Deck of Secrets Big and Small” has numbers, and these numbers do not follow a logical progression on this Tree, the following descriptions are given in a Spiral-like pattern rather than jumping all over the place to adhere to the numerals of the Cards (but just to add a bit of extra confusion the Branches are here listed with Arabic Numerals)

THE SEATS

LONDOH
the Kingdom – the card O the Fool
In this arrangement of a Tree with 21 letters, the first card of the Major Arcana is placed in the sphere of the Kingdom. There is no letter assigned to this Seat or the card. But this is the realm of the 4 elements, and here a bond with the Elementals has to be made before anything can take place.

The four Princesses, representing elemental Earth in the Courtcards, are (then) also attributed to this sphere along with the Tens.
The correspondences are those of Spirit descending unto Earth. Here are placed 4 of the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in the book of Isaiah:

Intellectus – Understanding (Air)
Fortitudo – Fortitude (Fire)
Sapientia – Wisdom (Water)
Consilium – Counsel (Earth)

BALYE
Salt – the Body.
In Alchemy Salt can represent both earth and water, and as the human body consists of about 50 to 60% water it makes some sense that these two elements are combined. For the purpose of this diagram it only is Water though.
The four Queens are placed here as well as the Twos.

TOH
Venus – Victory
This is the seat of Venus, and the traditional correspondences and powers apply, and so this is the sphere of Friday, love, art and beauty.
Chastity is the Virtue of Venus, and the Sin is Lust.
The Sevens of the Tarot are placed here.
This Seat is also the central influence in the Zodiacal Fire (here in this arrangement where the order of the Great Table is followed).

GRAA
the Moon
The left side, attraction, the feminine, dreams, the subconscious.
Here is placed Humility as a Virtue, the Moon being the second light and acknowledging that she receives her light from the Sun. The mirror of this is the Sin of Pride. In the night sky she is the one and only who can lift the darkness. When the moon is waning she knows we long for her.

BUSD
Jupiter – Glory
This is the main seat in the quarter of Zodiacal Water, and the Fours are placed here. As Jupiter is the planet of expansion and this is commonly seen as wealth, Charity is the Virtue and Greed the Sin. In a way the Sin of Gluttony obviously would be a logical choice too, but:

Mercury – Spirit
Mercury, the God of Alchemy, who is compatible with all and of whom it is said in Picatrix:
“.. you are fortunate with the lucky stars, masculine with the male, feminine with the female, light bringing with the day signs and bringing night with the nocturnal signs, you become like them in every way. That is how you are..”
Temperance is the Virtue and Gluttony the corresponding Sin. In addition to the Eights the Princes are placed here as well.

LONSHI
Mars – Power
The classic planet of Fire. There are different opinions on the Elemental weapons and suits in the Tarot; the Swords – though forged in Fire – are of Air, just like Mars is here because of the arrangement of the Great Table. In this regard Air can be seen as the storm.
The Virtue then is Patience and Wrath is its Sin.
All Fives.

ROR
the Sun
The right side, the male, positivity, light and without whom no life would be possible. The placement here, as the balance of the Moon rather than above it, underlines the idea of this Tree: the Marriage.
The Virtue is Kindness and its opposite is the Sin of Envy – explained in the Lunar phases: during the night we rely on the light of the Moon. But she waxes and wains to remind us that she receives her light from him.

MIAM
Saturn – Long Continuance
The concepts of death and rebirth are linked with the Winter sun, but the personification of these processes, the cyclic nature of time, is Saturn. The reaper and the sower, the old god of agriculture. It is the main Seat of Zodiacal Earth on this Tree.
The Virtue is Diligence and the Sin is Sloth.
The Threes of the Minor Arcana.

SALBROX
the Soul – Living Sulphur

This Spiral ends (or begins) in the center. On the Middle Pillar this is the third Seat, it is the Heart of the whole Tree.

In Sepher Yetzirah the letter Kaph is assigned to Mercury and the card of Death, and here Veh (K) is also attributed to this planet but the card corresponding to it has been changed to the quick witted Wizard – in accordance to the Golden Dawn where Mercury = Beth = the Magician.
He is master of the four elements, as shown by his Dagger, Wand, Chalice and Pentacle; the tools with which he shapes his surroundings according to his will.
The same is expressed by the 4 rulers of the 30th Aethyr. These are the Elemental Kings, with whom the bond has had to be established in LONDOH.
These Kings guide and serve the Magician on this journey, and the Weapons serve as a reminder and proof of the same. It might be worth your time to take a look at the Pantacle of Sol, where the 4 Angels of the Elements are named. These are not the same as, but similar to the Kings. There is great significance in the interplay between Sol and Mercury, and there is reason to suspect that this was also seen by John Dee or the Angels: ROR is for example attributed to Mercury in Yetzirah, whereas this is the name of the Sun in Enochian.
