Funny you should ask!
Me & my Familiar had a long discussion last night about Lilith.
Or, as I know her, Adama. Doing research on and off over the months,
so many pictures of Lilith appear, so many titles and relationships
she seems to have with various groups. Some decidedly Left-Hand Path.
(Not my thing, but I don't judge.) Common titles do appear.
Rebel. Queen. Mother. Some overlap, but all are equally real.
From one Kabbalistic tradition, she was made right next to Adam,
out of the same dust. What happened next, is not the topic of this.
It is what she is. She is the physical manifestation of the
Divine Feminine. Made in the Image of the Ruach haKodesh, Holy Spirit.
Just like Adam was made in the Divine Image. The Masculine God.
So, what is she? Not a Goddess, tho many treat her as such.
She is a Human. But, a Human made by the direct act of creation, by the
Godhead. So, not like any other Human now existing. And, she does
exist, as any direct creation of God, like the Angels, immortal.
(But, not on Earth) So, if more than Human, but not a Goddess, what?
To me, she is Queen and Mother, can't really speak to her Rebel nature.
So, how to relate? My Familar and I came to a conclusion, last night.
See, I born & raised Roman Catholic, before I wandered off in my early
teens, to ultimately fall in Love with Lurianic Kabbalah.
So much so, that four decades ago, converted to Orthodox Judiasm,
to get full access. You can't otherwise. Eventually I sat at the feet
of the greatest Torah and Kabbalah sage of our generation. Learned of Lilith.
But, something of my RC roots remained, to seek the Divine Feminine.
She's still there in the Roman Pagan roots, as Mother Mary.
A Saint. That's what I consider Adama now. My personal Patron Saint.
Of course, this is JMHO, take it as you will.
