I am very sure I have been attacked with Black Magick, I am possesed by an entity and it came to me because I was tricked into drinking a brew of magic mushrooms, very shortly after the entity manipulated my body with out my consent, I also think I am under psychic attack, I have been 9 months sober but the witches that send me the spirit where alcoholic, and did a lot of drugs, they made me start smoking cannabis, they used to go to my appartment to "hang out" with me and make me addicted to drugs.
It has been 9 long months since I stopped all drugs and I am recovering, I practice Magick almost every day, with hope it will help me destroy the drug craving, including alcohol, Ive heard in this forum that witches or black magicians can make people drink up and I read it also in a Psychich Self Defense book I have, how for example entities can manipulate women into fonication, and this entities develope a taste for this energy, so apparently is bad habits that can make you attached to entities, Ive been working a lot with my Microcosmic Kether drawing down Light, wishing it goes away, I am becoming stronger but the spirit is not leaving me or I dont think he is getting weaker, that is also other thing I learned, when you are attacked by entities you should starve them, how do you do this? You must stop drinking, smoking, drugs, fornication, dirty habits, that is how you starve them, but this one just dont stop.
So what you're describing is the mental obsession and it is not lifted. I wonder you say you're "sober" but I'd imagine you're white knuckling it. In recovery communities they call that "dry" when you're not drinking off will power alone and that is definitely known to drive people crazy/land them in psychosis.

People who suffer from addiction suffer from a spiritual illness. Not a mental one. Not one of will. And this makes you susceptible to astral parasites and things more infernal.

Do not fret though, there is a solution. Find an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, get a sponsor, and work the steps. Your obsession will be lifted, entities and black magic wont be able to touch you, and you'll find the spiritual tools you get in AA are highly relevant to your magical practice.

I would suggest putting down magic until you get some sobriety with a 12 step program under your belt. This needs to be taken care of before you start messing around with enacting your Will because you are sick right now. I do promise you, however, that if you can work a 12 step program for a year then when you pick the magic back up you'll find yourself 10x more adept than you ever thought possible.

Good luck friend, please dont fight your addiction alone.

I can tell you doing Qabbalah Magick has made me being tough, it was Magick that made me stop drugs, because since my favorite drug was cannabis and tobacco I smoked a lot, and I could not do rythmic breating and visualization properly, that is why I stopped the whole drugs thing, so I could practice Magick properly, and I have advanced a lot, I feel proud, other people have told me they are proud of me for stopping the drugs and advancing in Magick but in here most are a holes that want to nag and not really help me.

Im just gonna point out that the occult is riddled with addiction and your story is very familiar in these circles. There are certain occultists that try to magic their way out of addiction or justify using some drugs and not others and fail miserably their magic just exacerbates or prolongs the problem. Then there are the occultists/magicians that embrace recovery and integrate its lifestyle and philosophy into their practice and those ones become very successful. Good luck friend.

@Audiolog Edu , I hope the best for you. Perhaps you'd find this book helpful since it was just (re)shared in the library...

There's a wonderful quote by Frater Archer that made me think of this thread in particular.

This is a crucial step in advancing towards communion with your HGA. We are all caught in desires and wishes to become something that we aren’t yet. Often, however, this is more of a flight from what we think we are today than a progression towards what we want to be tomorrow. And often this journey proves to be incredibly arduous and hard-bitten. Because the dysfunctional traits or habits we acquired simply won’t let go of us.

The way to move forward in these cases is to let go. It is to simply accept the presence of what we perceive as being faulty, ugly or unworthy within us. You don’t have to start loving your shortcomings as they can be painful and embarrassing. Yet, you will need to welcome them like guests in your house.

Because that is what they are. When there are people in your house that you cannot throw out but that seem to leave at some point and on their own terms only you can just start accepting their presence as a matter of fact - rather than a fault that has to be fought everyday without a chance of success. Save your powers for the fights you can win. Don’t waste it. Accept the flaws that are too hard-wired to be changed for now.

Because once you do - something really strange and wonderful might happen. They might disappear. Many of our perceived shortcomings are fed by the energy that we waste to fight them. The more we fight, the stronger they become. And once we let go, they will let go as well.
