Banishing Saturnian Energies!!!

Hello Im a begginer practicioner of Magick and Im using Lyam Christophers book Kabbalah Magic, I used to drink, smoke and do cannabis and now that Ive commited to my Magick practice its been 4 months free of adiction, I was reading that Banishing Saturn through the Hexagram Ritual of Golden Dawn I could get this energies to stay at bay, freeing me from those "desires", what can you recommend me to help me achive a good LBRH, today was my first ritual, I felt at peace right after the ritual, but I dont think it was a perfect ritual.

Well sir to begin I think I did not do the sign of Enterer and sign of Silence when I draw the Pentagrams, I know I am writting about the Hexagram Ritual and Banishing Saturn but I used to follow Aurum Solis Rituals and yesterday I started with the Golden Dawn Rituals, also its hard for me to mantain in inner silence through out the Ritual, like meditation, sometimes because of controlled breathing I get too much stress and toughts pop up in my mind, I try to easily ignore them and continue with the Ritual, but I belive a true magician must keep silent, just recite the Words Of Power, also I am not the best in drawing Pentagrams and Hexagrams with energy, Ive practiced for more than a year Aurum Solis Elemental Magick and their Ritual similar to "The Middle Pilar" but one thing is beliving you are doing it and a profecional Magician moving the energies, like I am not sure if I am moving energies, that is why I stopped all kind of drugs, to be more sensitive to this energies.

Consider either Sun or Venus magic too to help keep Saturn at bay. Some fixed stars out there help a lot too but I guess they're less accessible without going into astrological magic or niche folk magic practices. But yeah banish Saturn

Before doing all such things, you should consider the actual basics. You must make or ask someone to make and analyze your natal chart. It might be that Saturn is actually helping you in your life and the problem lies elsewhere. Thankfully, banishing planetary enegies by means like that in Golden Dawn cause no effect other than potentially angering Planetary Spirits and making them turn away from you (which although answering the goal of banishing, still it is something totally different).

Also, even in case when some Planet is actually making your life harder, it means that you must find ways and means to please it and in no way banish it.

Planetary Spirits are part of Celestial Sphere. Those Spirits, which might cause you become victim of various addictions, are of Infernal Sphere and rarely of Terrestrial Sphere. The mere adhering to Higher Spheres makes you more impervious to the harmful influence of Lower Spheres.

Don't make enemies in the High Places. As far as I know, a lot of members of Golden Dawn, OTO and similar Orders (including members of very high standing) were addicted to smoking and various substances, so it doesn't look like their approaches are actually working.

Also, there are some Magic Operations, which might help to get rid off addictions, but they must be made by someone outside. As you are already free of your addictions. And those Operations don't include anything like "banishing Planetary Spirits", they involve, for example, making stuff like necrotic links, so each time you use some bad substance, you start getting feeling of dread unless you stop using them.

The thing here is that Lyams book say that right now I cant Invoke other Planets, right now I am Banishing Earth through the LBRP and Banishing Saturn because "Saturn represents the web of time and space that has ensnared our divine natures in the darkness of the universe. Its energy
is entropy-decay, disintegration, death, and all of the limiting physical laws", also according to the book I am working the Zelator grade, where I am working with Elemental Earth, so by Banishing Saturn at early stages of my training Ill get rid of Earthly desires, I dont mean to say Banishing Saturn will get rid of my addiction, but according to Lyam will help on Earthly desires, so I can focus more on Spirit.

If anything, utilize Saturn to put an end to whatever you need to terminate. Saturn isn't just about death, it's about closing the energetic connections between us and whatever we need to separate from. You can't banish Saturn, but you can close it up on itself...for your purposes. It is a planetary presence with a planetary function and is not here with the express purpose of hurting you.
