Been here just for the Library Shares...but now

Hi, love this site and long time user of the Book Shares, but due the new rules, decided to be more active.
Ex Christian with AuDHD so been hard to stick to one thing but I've tried a whole bunch of different things.

Tried:

• Tried LTC's Kabbalah Magic until Zelator for a month, just couldn't keep up repetition of ritual stack.
• I've made the all the Enochian tools (out of cardboard) and ended up just using them twice, had a very high voltage experience and was fried for weeks.
• Gallery of Magick was fun for a while, but stopped since it felt like it takes away the "magic" from magick, if you know what I mean.
• I attempted to join the Temple of Ascending Flame, a LHP organization, didn't vibe in the end.
• Tried out blood magick, Chthonic Descents, a Qlippoth Descent, Demonolotry.
• Quareia, finished all the lesson in MOD 1, but hard to see the point of it all tbh. Some good skill to be learned there though.
• Sorcery and Witchcraft, Jason Miller's sorcery & Traditional Witchcraft.
• Making own correspondences based on Runes/Elements/8 Circuits of Consciousness.

Likes:

• I do like divination, Tarot Cards, iChing Oracle, Runes, Geomancy.
• Astrology is pretty sick, I do find it way more accurate than any psychological personality test. The deeper I look the more accurate it becomes.
• Crystals, especially hematite and lepidolite. Whenever I get fried from too much magick, hematite on the forehead seems to ground the static. Lepidolite chills my nervous system.

Currently into:

• John Kreiter's stuff (his energy exercises are very effective)
• Demonic Pathworking (Corwin Hargrove, Theodore Rose, Jareth Tempest, where I had many successes)
• Experimenting Ward Jars
• Mudras for Chakra alignment and Elemental Balance
• Dark Fae Witchcraft (deep shadow work, and facing death energies)

Glad that there is a community that can talk magick.

Man, I saw Jareth Tempest on your list and all I can think of is how his ads keep popping up on FB daily for his endless attunements. He apparently can send you chi balls daily to permanently alter your subtle body with every deity, angel, and demon from every pantheon. For $30 per deity/angel/demon/freaking Buddha.

Dude must be desperate for money - just now I opened FB and here's yet another Jareth Tempest ad, this time for a Marie Laveau attunement. Is he serious?!

I'm ex-christian myself, having a strong dislike for "christians" more and more as time goes on. (Huge fan of Jesus though. his "followers" have completely missed the memo imo) I also had a very broad start into magick myself as i had no real guidance. I just went all in and did a bunch of reading of just about anything and everything i could and there were times i tried to force myself into a regular practice. I was always drawn to magick but something just didn't seem right, like the timing itself was off. Now here I am again getting back into things, and this time i'm trying to let the odd coinidences guide me. I think i failed to listen to my intuition and trust myself and now i've had experiences where a lot of people have said things that really resonated for me and lined up with a lot of my own personal experiences so here i am again diving in, but I'm being a lot more selective in what ways i'm moving forward.

Ahhh a fellow survivor from 'Churchianity', well met. Totally with you there on being a fan of Jesus but not the christians, and how they completely miss the point.

You know the funny thing is, I never actually had any experience with Christ until after i left the church and when i met him, I wasn't even TRYING to be christian. I'd argue i was someone most christians would hate with a passion and he never said a thing or passed any judgement on me at all. He was legitimately the coolest guy ever. Its so sad what they've done with his message.

Haha yeah that's hilarious. Love it how Christ works that way, I think he likes to flip the script.

Cuz with me I once had a really stubborn parasitic entity haunting me, like 3am wake ups, being touched under the blankets, freezing patches around the room, constanly in fear and losing sleep.
I went and saw a witch, she couldnt banish it.
But a simple prayer from my flatmate invoking the name of Christ just obliterated the parasite (and she was a sex worker, and you know how christian folk would judge her). Ironic?

Other times i had church 'elders' and 'good christians' pray for me and i would feel nothing, or some tingles, then they'll ask me what happened and i tell them and they feel super proud of themselves and walk off.

I get absolutely obsessed with a planet then research everything about it then phase out, which gives me time to integrate what i learnt, which gives an even more accurate picture of the whole...
...then the astrology rabbit hole gets deeper.
