[Help] Beginner looking for safe starting points and guidance

Hi everyone,
I am a beginner in the occult and looking for proper guidance from experienced practitioners.
I am specifically interested in learning how to safely form an alliance with the Devil or demonic entities, without letting fear take over. Alongside this, I am looking for effective spells or methods aimed at achieving personal success and overcoming internal and social fears.
Since safety and doing things correctly are my main priorities, could anyone share reliable spells, foundational rituals, or advice on how a beginner should approach these goals?

If you want to establish contact with spirits like demons, the first thing you need is a method to accurately communicate with them. There are a lot of ways to do this, from tarot readings to pendulums to scrying to cultivating your psychic senses.

I’d recommend starting off with tarot or a pendulum and gaining confidence with your divination and spirit communication before you start trying to establish pacts.

Additionally, you should work on some methods of spiritual hygiene or banishing to keep yourself safe when you do work with spirits such as these. I’d recommend the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, but there are plenty of others.

I live in a household where having Tarot cards or physical items like that is completely impossible, my friend. To be honest, I'm also a bit afraid of them. Do you know of any specific spell or a book you would recommend instead?

It sounds like you should eschew demons and such like, and start with something like Chaos magic instead. Read Peter Carroll's Liber Null and/or Alan Chapman's Advanced Magick for Beginners.

If you're afraid of Tarot cards, demons are likely to make you shit your pants.

Well, that's not so good. Maybe chaos magic will give you more confidence, which is what one needs both as a magician and in life.

Advice I would give you is not to treat it as just a thing you do by rote and just expect success to pop out the other end. You need to get really into it. That's one of the reasons why chaos magic is good - it allows you to use things that you are into anyway. Take Thoth as your patron? No problem! Have an altar dedicated to Barbie? Also no problem! Use what seems most magically appropriate to you - and fuck all those people who say otherwise

Get into it, and maybe your confidence will grow
