Benefits of servitors over established gods and entities?

I was considering creating a servitor to help me in life with tasks that aren't super specific but generally encompass things like Improving cognition and focus but as someone completely new to magic I am wondering if I should start out with something maybe more effective, unless these servitors would be better.

Choose what feels better for you.

Since you are a beginner, don't bother with what is more effective. The more work you will do, the more you will develop and the more your work will be effective. Choose and practice. Wondering around and seeking for the most effective system is getting lost in a circle of always finding out that some other system is more effective.
