Best protection against curses of Palo Mayombe?

Hi people, I recently saw a podcast here in my country about palo mayombe, and it interested me because the title of the chapter was "With a candle I can save or kill a person". In the podcast they are interviewing a Tatanganga (the highest rank of priests) of Palo Mayombe, so the information shared there, are very reliable and trusthworthy. The information shared there made me realized that Palo Mayombe is the real deal when it comes to curse other people, and they are a very powerful tradition of magick, so I was wondering, Is there a way someone like a neophyte in any other path of magick not related with palo mayombe or the left hand path, can protect him/herself from the strong curses of Paleros, Santeros and Vodoun Priests? I mean, I saw in another forum that I should not be worried if a demon attacks me, but i should be worried if a palo mayombe or vodoun practitioner attacks me. Hope the information shared in this post and the answers can help any other magicians in order to stay safe. Thanks people!
