I cannot remember if I used any of the Garuda mantras but it's possible I did some experiments back in the day. I checked the information on Garuda mantras. They appear to be very solid and I would say you definitely could get great effects with them. It might take a while to tune in.
You have to get the pronunciation right with the aid of some YT videos.

These 3 seem like very good. Nice, not so long in length and easier to recite.

Om Hreem Shreem Vishnupathraya Garudaya Swaha

Om Shreem Garudaya Namaha

Om Garuda Devaya Namaha

The structure is very similar to some Ganesha mantras which I worked with, Om gan Ganapataye namah, and it was quite good.
Bon Garuda? I found some other source talking about more of them, red Garuda, bon?
