You need to be quite careful about what you do in your ignorance. Damage to chakras can remain over several incarnations

Generally it is better to practice right relationship with others (people, animals, plants, planets) as those relationship skills work directly upon your own chakra intelligences

You can probably find a dozen websites by searching for Yoga and Chakras.

However, for students of magick the focus is placed on ritual, and I would recommend learning the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and Middle Pillar Ritual. Generally speaking, magicians don't try to open chakras, but the Middle Pillar ritual creates energy flows through and around 5 points in the body through visualizations. Practice the Middle Pillar to balance your internal energy. If you choose to play a bit with Yoga, pay close attention to how it makes you feel. Try not to rush things.

Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig may be one of the most popular books on magick of the 21st Century. I'm not going to say it's the best, but it will get you started with three important daily practices that will take you very far in a life long pursuit of the occult: Divination (tarot), meditation, and basic ritual (LBRP + Middle Pillar).

Perhaps you might re-read what I wrote.

Unconscious editing/speed-reading is dangerous for would-be magicians.
