Can someone help me interpret this dream I had?

I didn't even know I was dreaming at first, I was completely oblivious to what was happening.

In this dream my mother came to me holding a black candle, basically hovering it over me or holding it by my bedside. I noticed the flame wasn't that regular colour you see most candles have, this one was different. The flame was white in the middle and around it was blue.

Something screams to me Santa Muerte because I was pondering about the time I tried to invoke her to help cleanse negative energies, I offered her a black candle and a glass of water.

What could be the context of your mom holding the candle in relation to Santa Muerte?

Since the flame is kind of inverted, within this dream there are both meanings: you dreamed of your mother with a white candle with a regular flame, your caring mother looking after you, a symbolic image of something you experienced in real life.

And the woman with the black candle is a reflection of her in the dark world, looking after you in this other world, caring for you in this other, magical realm, which indeed might be the realm of Santa Muerte and thus the realm of your ancestors.

This is pretty key on for answers to the dream.

The energy of the dream still exists. Re-enter the dream energy and examine closely the figure that you identified as your mother.

What do you see?
That's hard to do at the moment, visualizing is really difficult for me at this moment, especially tapping into the same energy because what I felt was nothing, I was numb.

So maybe trying to work with Santa Muerte might something I may need to return to?

I drew her sigil and lit a black candle and instantly I could feel this feeling inside my throat. For something reason I believe it tasted like chocolate, perhaps a negative energy coming out.

Sounds like a curse or a spirit, I don't know just what I thought when I felt it.

I think people see her as a mother figure and so I wanted to approach as the same, same thing with hekate.

you mean, Santa Muerte has put some negative energy out of you with the taste of chocolate? Interesting.

The dream seems to be something positive, so yes, I would try to make contact to Santa Muerte again. Does this feel right to you?

I tried finding more info on its origin, but it’s the first time I hear of a sigil for Santísima Muerte. Those folk deities and spirits don’t normally have sigils. I found one online that looks like it’s a Vodoun Veve. Maybe it’s fine and came from a legit source, but I’d be cautious using that sigil to connect with her. If you’re planning on working with her more often, get yourself a little statue and get an altar going. I’ve seen the 3” ones in botánicas for like $5-10.

Forgot to add, that chocolate taste you had could be her signaling an offering she wants. My spirits do the same thing all the time. People normally offer her candy, as well as apples, liquor, Coca Cola, perfume, flowers.

I recently prayed to a Santa Muerte altar. Often times during the Middle Pillar or Qabbalistic Cross, I will visualize light blue with vertical white streaks to keep parasites away.
Okay:
Black candles - to do evil, to repel evil, protection.
With the blue-white flame I would say it is either or both the last two.
Dreamscape: Your house/Bed.
The dreamscape is an important note - these are often places you know. If you dont, observe the function of the dreamscape. This should allow control over the dreamscape.
To cleanse negative energies. I would say this is either Santa Muerte, or a mother figure of some kind, even your actual mom, giving you an item of protection from negative energies or entities.

I’m gonna give you some serious advice now.

unless you’re extremely serious and careful...do not bother Her...I’ve personally seen people be ruined by her...badly for offending her.

Idk why you think it’s Santa Muerte, if it’s her I imagine she’d be obvious, in my encounters she is very much so.

it could just be a dream.

but public altars are fine, working with her on a personal level is very serious

That's what came to mind, like something was being brought out from my throat. I could be wrong though.

I was little on edge using that sigil of santa muerte but I generally always am when contacting spiritual beings.

I wanted to make a personalised statue of her myself.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I went out the next day to buy some chocolate.

All spirits are generally dangerous but I do get what you're saying.

I'm always serious when I summon spirits, especially careful how I treat them.
