In CandleMagick the color green is associated with money and wealth, and in two “conjure bag” recipes I've seen, you have to place 7 coins in the bag. Seven, just like green corresponds to Venus – the Lesser Benefic whereas Jupiter is the Greater.
Maybe Venus compels Sol (who really reigns over gold) to grant her his favors, just like how the Sun follows her at sunrise or sunset depending on whether she is Morning or Eveningstar.
If you descend from Saturn (3) to Luna (9) then Jupiter is 4 and Venus is 7, but if you ascend from Malkuth (1) to Saturn (8) then Venus is 4 and Jupiter 7.
So, lucky sevens indeed.

Some Money Botanicals to make oils, powders or incense
from Scott Cunningham Book of Incense, Oils & Brews
and Judika Illes Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells:

alfalfa
almond
avocado
basil
cabbage
calamus
cedar
chamomile
chervil
cinnamon
clover
cloves
coriander
dill
five-finger grass
ginger
heliotrope (sunflower)
honeysuckle
lettuce
marigold
mint
nasturtium
nutmeg
oakmoss
orange peel
parsley
pine
poppies
vervain

In that same book of Judika Illes she gives a spell for money growth:

Carve and dress a green candle to express your desires.
Place it on a saucer.
Arrange coins around the base of the candle.
Light the candle and chant

Money grow, money flow
Candle burn, watch me earn
Money grow, money flow
Flame shine
What I want is mine!

a thought or tip on candlemagicking that I might as well include here:

I have read several spells that instruct you to roll your candle in powdered herbs. Anyone who has ever tried to apply a powder to a candle (after dressing it with an oil) will know that it will cause it to either burn very slowly, make the candle drip like it has gonorrhea, or even extinguish the flame completely.
An alternative that I've seen mentioned is to hollow out the base of the candle and stuff the herbs in there before sealing it up.
I'm not sure if this is better or worse than to use the (powdered..) herbs to make a sigil on a plate or in a bowl, in the center of which you place your dressed candle.
My suggestion (for any oil) is to use a lot of dried herbs and only add enough oil to just cover it. Use a small jam jar or similar, and just let it get more potent over time. To apply the oil I have used paint brushes but in other cases have also simply dipped the top of the candle in the jar, so that the oil will run down the sides if the candle is turned upright again.

A Candle Spell I based on the above
(for someone who believes that good things come to good people)

Start on a SUNDAY, when the Moon is waxing. Select any 7 of the herbs / plants given, chop these up as finely as you can, use half to start your oil, and use the other half (or so) to make a Hexagram on a plate. Place 6 coins in the 6 triangles of the figure. Take a green candle, cut the bottom so that it is flat and then carefully melt it so that you can stick it onto a large coin (the 7th coin which will allow the candle to stand) and then carve the candle with wealth runes (Fehu – cattle / possessions / money), Euro or dollar signs, Venus or Earth symbols, or any other thing that you deem appropriate. Now dip the tip of the candle into your oil (or dress it in your own way..) and then place the candle in the center of the Hexagram.
Now know that the candle is (symbolizing) Venus and that through it you are enticing Sol to be good to you.

Psalm 24 (23 in the Vulgate) is said to be helpful in financial matters
the Latin of the 4th and 5th Verse :

Innocens manibus et mundo corde
Qui non accepit in vano animan suam
Nec juravit in dolo proximo suo

Hic accipiet benedictionem a Domino
Et misercordiam a Deo salutari suo

In the King James version this is given as:

He that hath clean hands and a pure heart
Who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity
Nor sworn deceitfully

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord
And righteousness from the God of his salvation

Light your candle and say the prayer once (in English if you wish)
and then as you concentrate on the flame
say 7 times

Innocens manibus et mundo corde
Hic accipiet benedictum a Domino

after the 7th time you extinguish the candle.
Repeat this daily until the candle is burned down, then give away the 6 coins to people who need it (or buy a piece of bread and feed birds / little animals) and keep the 7th coin as a talisman.

(Just a tip: this Sunday 2/2/25 is Candlemass, the Moon is waxing and in the 1st Mansion..)

This is great, thanks for sharing. A few suggestions for applying the herbs to candle:
  • brush oil and turn candle to side, sprinkle powdered (not just ground) herbs while rolling the candle - not too much will be applied
  • run candle over another open flame to soften the wax and then roll the candle in powdered/ground herbs - might not work well if very cold
  • use a tea light candle, put a drop on top and sprinkle herbs before lighting

Perhaps you can benefit from my experience. I always make candle blanks in advance, in different colors. Then, for example, if I need money candles, I take green candles, pour hot water into a bowl, dip the candle for a few seconds, take it out, and quickly roll it in herbs already crushed. Also, I believe that you do not need a lot of herbs, a pinch is enough for one candle, as it is important your intention, and the energy of the herb. Also, when making always look at the phase of the moon, monetary will never do on the waning moon, and I always have extra candles burning when creating other candles. So we involve and elemental magic of fire and water))))

Thank you for the tips :)
I made an oil with ginger, cinnamon, basil, clove, calamus, mint and orange peel and used a brush to trace a hexagram with this on a plate.
Sprinkled more of the powdered herbs on top (and then held the plate upside down) and placed 6 coins in the points.
The little jar with oil in the center, the candle on top of the 7th coin on top of the jar.

The day for which I wrote (and started) this spell was Candlemass, which this year fell on a Sunday, the waxing moon in the first Mansion.
Yesterday (Friday) was the 20th day (I burned the candle each day for about 10-15 minutes) and I buried the stump in my yard and put the 6 coins in a collection tin for an animal shelter.
Last week I saw that my salary actually is higher than I thought.. and the upcoming raise is also looking good this year. No sudden lottery win or inheritance, but a nice steady income

A stable income that increases step by step indicates a successful ritual. That's the best indicator. Can I ask you to tell me more about how the stump is connected in your ritual? Is it a binding as the stump grows, so your income will grow?

I'm sorry maybe I used the wrong word. What I meant was the small part of the candle that was still left. I buried that and added a whole bunch of flower seeds (for no particular reason, but in retrospect I will say the flowers should become food for bees, bees are Solar = gold)

Your intuition and inner gut work very well. That's the most important thing in magic. If there are some basic concepts in rituals, but when you add something by your own intuition and intuition, it is super! I see these seeds as an activator of your income growth. The seeds will sprout, start to grow, and your income will go up! )))). Just like your association with honey - honey is wealth, it's a sign of a sweet life)!
