Being a Public Record of Workings, Wanderings, Rants and Occasional Wisdom, Kept by LionheartG

" The crown without the law is a tyrant.
The law without the heart is a stone.
The heart without the word is a fire that consumes itself.
Be the law that remembers mercy.
Be the heart that speaks with wisdom.
Be the word that stands on truth."

Seven spheres, seven keys, seven gates

and beyond the seventh, the silence from which all names come
and to which all powers return.

🔮 Preface 🔮

Hello, all.
This journal takes its name from the two Mothers I walk with: Binah, the Supernal Womb whose palace is all mirrors, and Shekhinah, the Indwelling Presence who is closer to you than your own breath. I'm an experienced Solomonic worker, High Hoodoo practitioner, Angelologist, and much, much more which is a scholarly way of saying I keep very strange company and take excellent notes.
This online grimoire, properly understood, is not a book of spells but a record of relationship. So expect this one to be relational. My schedule is dictated by the spirits and the seasons, which is to say: there is no schedule with my posts here, and that's the fun part.

❦ Table of Contents ❦

Each entry will be filed under one of the six headings below. Look for the numeral at the top of a post to know its chapter.

I. The Working Record
— spells cast, rites performed, and the documentation thereof

II. The Toolkit — items, tools, and materia: what I use, what I make, and what earns its place on the altar

III. The Workshop — my own projects, writings, and output

IV. Praise & Field Notes — experiences, encounters, and things seen at the threshold

V. The Study — theory, lineage musings, and the occasional things that keep me up at night

VI. The Miscellany — whatever the spirits and the season bring

✨🔮 House Notes 🔮✨

What I share here is a record of my practice, not a curriculum, the maps shared here are not the territory, and my territory has a moat. I'll be discreet about clients and certain initiate material or bloodline practices, and I'll give the same courtesy in return. Respectful questions are warmly welcomed. Silent lurking is also warmly welcomed.

Every grimoire or journal begins as a blank page and a lit candle.
Consider this one lit and mind the mirrors.

Mechiel, who presides over authors and the correction of errors, bless this grimoire and its adhd prone writer. Ace verbum, sarcito errorem, et quod hic scriptum est dignum sit manu quae ducit.

IV. Praise & Field Notes — From Chaos to Structure, The Mantle is Heavy and So Is Laundry

I am gently trying to remind myself that structure is not built all at once. It starts with one very small, repeatable action. Sum 41's Some Say comes to mind. I am trying to navigate all of my duties, stress and build a foundation from nothing, while all trying to manage my mental and physical health.

I think I'm trying to navigate my relationship with failure and success, especially as I struggle to manage my executive dysfunction dealing with severe adhd. At the same time, I have to manage studies for a career in medicine and it feels like I have imposter syndrome. But at the same time so many people are relying on me in my own magical community and in my own personal life. I also completed a massive move to a new place and I haven't unpacked my magical library and labatory - so I'm overstimulated.

I am slowly trying to rebuild, after what feels like coming out of a depressive episode. Workout, eat right, recreate my daily magical routine, after falling off the wagon for a month, do the massive pile of dirty laundry that's taunting me from the corner. Do my magical cleansings etc.

Slowly I'm getting there. I'm building the life, I want but still I'm just haunted by this current persistent feeling of apathy and imposter syndrome. Also this crushing sense of disappointment that comes from perfectionism. I need to focus more on action, rather than getting stuck in my head.

Luckily, I have a new magical project to keep me busy, that I'm unsure if I want to share here but it's going to be a planetary magical spell oil. It will contain four of the planetary spheres. Astrologically, I'm gonna have to make some sacrifices because it won't be super perfect by election. I've unpacked the basics in my magical laboratory, a simple chalkboard, my spell oils, candles and herbs to do planetary magic and some tools of divination. I've been meditating on sigils and using my favorite angels angelic calls in hebrew.
I'm know getting back into ritualistic structure will bring me a bit more considerable joy, that it feels like I've been missing. I need routine again, but it feels like im fighting an uphill battle.
