Does anyone know where I could find possible information on witchcraft and things of the like from either ancient China or currently? I’ve never heard anything on the subject before. The closest thing that I was able to find, physically at least, were books about the supernatural. All of the things I cut have at my disposal are about witchcraft in the states or of Nordic origin. I haven’t found anything in relation to Asia.

A lot of these traditions (especially Chinese folk practices and the shamanic traditions of the Mongols and other steppe/plains cultures) have historically been quite closed, often passed down orally within specific communities or families. That is unfortunate for us but preserves their magick and must be respected.

That said, I’d be really excited if more material becomes available. With modern translation tools and digitization, a lot of this knowledge is finally becoming accessible in English. Hopefully someone with native connections or direct access to primary sources can share texts, references, or recommendations. There’s a tremendous amount of rich shamanic and folk magical knowledge preserved in rural Chinese villages and among Mongolian and related cultures.

I am hopeful that someday some of this knowledge is leaked to us.

There is a book called Practical Chinese Magic by Jason Read. It is an introduction of sorts to practical Taoist magic that begins with preliminary concepts and proceeds to basic spell work, the making of talismans, hand seals, divination, etc. Is that what you're looking for?

Practical Chinese Magic and about 20 other books specifically dealing with Chinese Magick can be found in my mega account. I have not read any of these so i can not speak for them. I also have several books by Benebell Wen which are well regarded.
Good luck! This is a great rabbit hole to go down.
