It came to my attention through the user @Lion that a page in my translation had an embarrasing section that I forgot to edit that says ""Next, recite the following mantra twenty-one times: NOTE TO SELF – GO BACK AND TRANSLATE THIS MANTRA Next, perform the seated meditation, focusing your mind and reciting the prayers with devotion. Finally, make offerings of incense, flowers, and other items" -- this on page 57 in my translation but refers to page 68 in the source material.

Because I feel responsible I have tracked down the mantra and provide the original Japanese, Its transliteration, and English equivalent. If anyone has anymore questions about the book this is the preferred space to do so.

Japanese Text:​

上員垂祐、災害不生、福壽増延、子孫榮顯、田蠶倍盛、六畜興生、掃除精怪、蕩滅妖氣、靈符秘妙、永鎮門庭、此符靈驗、來歴甚多、述之難盡。

Transliteration (Reading)​

Jou-in sui-yu, saigai fu-shou, fukuju zou-en, shison ei-ken, densan bai-sei, rikuchiku kou-sei, sou-jo sei-kai, tou-metsu you-ki, reifu hi-myou, ei-chin mon-tei, kono fu rei-gen, rai-reki jin-ta, jutsu-no nan-jin.

English:
"May the divine beings above grant protection so that disasters do not arise. May blessings and longevity increase, and may descendants prosper. May the fields yield double, and the six types of livestock flourish. Sweep away all evil spirits and dissolve harmful energy. These mysterious talismans are profound; they eternally guard the gate of this house. The efficacy of these charms and their history are vast; it is difficult to describe them all."

Yes. I have been fortunate to have received some guidance on it. If you plan on using this book I highly recommend studying some form of esoteric Buddhism, Taoist magic, and knowledge of Shinto. The book is highly syncretic so it fits my beliefs already. Because it derives from earlier Chinese sources I also use methods found in Benebell Wen and Jason Reads books.
