During reading through Kuji-In system and trying first two mudras and meditations I realized how this stuff with mudras works, it was right in my face looking at me from that book.
The use of self-control using your body goes way beyond occult, but I'll stick to energy. I've heard a lot about Mudras and how they are universal. Some stuff is universal, because we learn a lot about behaving and body postures from society we live in. But for conscious control I think this doesn't apply. Simple fact is that we don't even realize much that we are trained by others in body language.
But for our use you can choose whatever you want to program into your subconscious on your hands. Hands are usually the best for this. Keep in mind, however, that your gestures for energy should be something you don't usually do, or you will confuse your sub-conscious on your "commands." Like with training an animal. That's probably why I don't do fingers, but entire hands, both hands.
So far I developed and trained only two hand positions.
First is STOP, stopping all energy, ground and calm down. I use hands crossed on the chest, sort of like a dead men's hands crossed on the chest. You never do that on wake up life normally, but when you do it, for a moment, doesn't raise much suspicion. I trained that by ending every ritual with this pose and deep breathing, focusing on calming down. So crossing my hands immediately commands my mind and energy to calm down and stop, especially effective on strong emotions.
Second is READY, which I use specific hold of hands, similar to prayer but the hands are positioned different as I want it and cannot be mixed with prayer hands for confusion. I trained that when starting ritual by focusing on breath to clear and sharpen focus with hands in this hold. Now it both sharpens the mind and draws energy to be used. Very good for fast rituals or to get to work...
I have yet to find a need for more positions.
By the way if you like eastern magic or ninjas... or anime, Kuji-In system is worth exploring. (check the library for books Kuji-In by François Lépine)
