RE Annabelle. Man, I don't want that stuff in my personal subconscious mix. The last thing I want is some creepy ass doll coming at me in a working. * shudder *

Bawon Sam'di, looking at a plastic doll of Darth Vader, once told a houngan "That's me!" Same deal. I mentioned this somewhere else, but the GV daimons I evoke will sometimes appear as spooky, very eldritch Lovecraftian critters, which I am sure they got from rummaging around in my personal Imagination. Professionally I'm a concept artist with a love of horror fiction. Imho, they are not literally Lovecraftian Things Beyond Our Understanding. Well, they are, but not in so an amusingly pulp fictiony way. That was for my benefit.

I'm curious - when you encounter those Lovecraftian beings, do they come with any sense of non-Euclidean geometry or impossible spatial detail? Like hints of an architecture or landscape that feels… Universe B, for lack of a better term?

Bawon Sam'di saying he's darth vader doesn't surprise me in the least bit lol. This is why we love him ! If he wasn't a Lwa he'd be a great comedian !

Nah. They just show up in my regular room. More trad Goetia is an externalized practice. I actually don't like having things having access to my mind. Well, more than they already do from observing my soul in their plane.

I try not to project to much of my subconscious material, fantasies , and wish fulfillment onto them becasue I think it pollutes the working. I am a magician, and not a religious neopagan type. When I call them it's for a business transaction.

I will say the eldritch designs and patterns that formed the monstrous head of one of my visiblly manifested allies will form the exact shapes and colors of a tunnel that will overlay my vision when I say the short cantrips he gave me to call him. The work like a visionary call sign for him. Again, I did not create these or read them in a book. They were gifts given. Other peopel calling them will get their own that no "elder" has told them about.
