What do you think of Damo Mitchell’s work? How effective is his interpretation of Eastern teachings on working with the energy body?

While he himself isn't a Daoist, I know people who go through his school, and they have great results from the energetic practices he teaches. He's legit in that sense. He's a good introduction to Daoist alchemy, though I would personally prefer to have a more in-person teacher on these matters, but most of us don't live in mainland China, of course...

Thank you very much for your reply. It’s true that having an in-person teacher would be ideal. Unfortunately, since that’s not an option right now, I’m exploring other possibilities. I really like Damo, but it’s important to hear other opinions, even if they’re critical.

If the problems arose from practicing Eastern energy systems, perhaps you could consider him. Judging from his comments, he pays attention to this area to some extent. In a way, this already makes him slightly better than traditional practitioners native to China. Not all traditional practitioners encounter problems themselves; their knowledge and experience in this area largely come from their masters and classical texts. When dealing with some of the bizarre problems that arise in modern times, it's fine if traditional methods happen to work, but if they don't, these practitioners often have no good solutions. People who actively look into this issue generally either have experienced problems themselves in the past, or have a practical need for it in their teaching; otherwise, they rarely pay attention to it. Furthermore, just like a doctor who specializes in treating a specific condition, they will naturally see more patients of that type.

I've read a few of his books, and I liked them. My Guru has friends in the UK who studied with Mr. Mitchell. The reviews are positive.
