BALG'S certainly got its own reputation, as well as Koetting. But I feel like this is more a story of a very troubled teen, who happened to cling onto occultism in a very twisted manner. If somebody's willing to murder innocent people to try and get what they want, that's their problem, and not necessarily a reflection on the community as a whole.

This is a tragic thing to happen, and that kid's just ruined his own life out the gate as well as ending two. If part of the pact specifically stated he would get away with all this and not even be implicated, then I also doubt he succeeded in actually creating it in the first place.

I do hope this doesn't end up with the mainstream turning their attention toward BALG and other forums like us, though. Because obviously it's not gonna be the good kind of attention.

I agree that Danyal Hussein was/is a troubled teen, but why to trigger him??? When you go in public and you are a public figure, you should be very wise about what you mention because it can influence others and also it can be used against you. When you mention about killing people and such things, even if you aren't serious about it or it's more like a joke, if media and/or police takes notice of you, why should you get mad about this? (It happened in this case) There was a youtuber which mentioned on his livestream that he would "rape" a 14 years old girl (not a specific one), reffering to the fact that a lot of young girls look more and more feminine nowadays. (The age of sexual consent is 15) After months he mentioned this, he got the attention of media and eventually police and got arrested for a day or so and for 3 or 6 months (I don't remember exactly), the police demanded to not stream and/or post videos on youtube. EA Koetting mentioned on one of his livestream on youtube something like "maybe I would kill or maybe I wouldn't kill a baby if it gave me supreme power", that when if I remember correctly someone asked something like "if killing a baby would give you supreme power, would you do it?". (Even though this might not have driven the attention in the first place, but still... attention could have been give for this too) In my opinion, when you get involved in mentioning and talking about such things, you should assume yourself and not get mad if the media and/or police takes notice of you. Maybe not incriminate yourself?

Yeah, I’m not saying Koetting shouldn’t be held accountable for what he says if something happens. Especially with how he sets himself up for the “young edgelord” demographic. Kinda like how in a perfect world, celebrities with a mostly teenage fanbase would stay conscious of the fact that they are a role model for thousands of kids. But they really don’t, at least most of the time.

However, I think there’s still a huge step between joking and doing. People who are mentally well are not going to seriously contemplate murder, if not due to a conscience then due to fear of getting caught. Already homicidal, seriously unwell people could be set off by any number of things, especially on the internet. So I doubt just taking away this one influence this kid may have been exposed to would’ve been an instant fix. Especially if he’d been threatening to kill people from 12 years old, as it says in the video. That is somebody who needed serious psychiatric intervention and clearly didn’t get it. Or he didn’t get enough. I blame his parents more than anybody else.

The moderator of that forum shared a link at some point to a video of mayan human sacrifice where the heart of the sacrificed is extracted

Hello, I’m the person you’re referring to, I’m a volunteer member moderator on the BALG forums and for full disclosure, I am not affiliated in any business or other way with BALG, beyond being active on their forums, so I don’t represent them, nor speak for them in any way whatsoever.

I wish to respond to what you’ve written here.

A few years ago I posted a link about the sickening drug-trade cartel killings, with clear warnings in both the topic title and body of the post, and with the link itself hidden behind a spoiler tab, with a comment that it resembled recreation of an ancient ritual sacrifice.

I posted about this because it implies either some spiritual influence, or possibly just local lore, may have caused old and horrifying customs to be carried forward to the present day. That the cartels are superstitious and have complex spiritual beliefs & practices is well known.

Seeing that this has been misrepresented, in a manner which could potentially cause upset and offence, I have removed the post.

What's the real connection with BALG? Didn't see it mentioned in either the video or the article... But I wouldn't jump to blame them. This looks like a mentally ill, delusional, murderer who fell down a occult path rather than being lead down one...

Again, I repeat that I do not represent nor speak for BALG, and have no professional association with them, I am just a forum user and speaking solely on my own behalf, and from my own observation & experience.

Danyal Hussein had a total of 25 posts on the forum, he joined 4th March 2018, and he made his last post 14th Nov 2018.

His Profile with that Nov 2018 “Last Post” date is briefly visible in the video by the BBC, 2nd from the left on the screen.

He seems to have been monitored by the UK authorities due to an interest in violent imagery for some time before joining the BALG forum, and was under supervision of the Channel process when he joined, and during at least some of his time on the forum (per dates given at thesun.ie/news/7254278/satanist-danyal-hussein-dead-body-pics/).

When the news broke, I was absolutely sickened and horrified, as you can probably imagine. I’ve been on the BALG forum since 2013 and the forum has always strictly enforced a zero tolerance policy for threats, abuse, or glorifying violence. I immediately checked his posts, and saw that they were mostly about love spells, orbs, and fairies. Because I volunteer as a mod, I could also see that he didn’t cause any problems on the forum, nor attract any attention in the short time he was active.

The community’s membership is enormously diverse, and posts can be immediately flagged by all members for referral directly to admins and mods. Like most responsible online communities, they also have robust procedures in the event of a credible threat of any kind being posted.

I originally joined that forum because of my interest in using magick for the spiritual healing and ascent of all humankind, something which can be witnessed in posts of mine such as the 2015 thread titled “Theogenesis” which can be searched & read in full without registration.

Violence to other human beings has absolutely no place in that aspiration, period, and I absolutely and unreservedly condemn any actions of that kind. They belong in the past we aspire to leave behind, along with witch-hunts, slavery, and other forms of repression and atrocity.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, I think of them daily, and express deepest sympathies for their loss.

I appreciate you finding this forum and registering just to elaborate on this situation and clarify things.

As someone who's run and been a part of several large forums, I'm no stranger to hosting criminals and murderers, though thankfully in my case, never tied to any of my sites. I recognize that it is impossible to control the off-site actions of members to any reasonable degree, nor would that be warranted.

However I think, and mind you this is with some bias against EA and BALG, from what I've heard and seen, there is definitely a lot of excessive ritualism, and sometimes almost a stubborn insistence on some excessive, uneccesary, sometimes fantastical practices... mostly stemming from EA and his die-hard fans.

I know that perhaps you and the vast majority of BALG members are just seekers of knowledge, but I personally feel that not enough is done to quash fanatic and zealous statements and content that could radicalize someone like Danyal. Of course, it's hard to blame the moderation team for this as it seems to be that this is EA's modus operandi and basically one of the gimmicks/marketing tactics that he uses to sell his content.

That's partly why I, and WF's previous owner are largely against forums as a profit making machine. But it is what it is for BALG. Like I said in my previous posts I doubt BALG as a whole, or anyone prominent at BALG intentionally lead Danyal down this path, with the very minor possible exception being EA's charlatan teachings that he markets. But overall, I really think anyone with sense and some experience in the online occult sphere would understand that BALG (and it's volunteer staff) is not to blame for this lunatic.

You can see Matthew Laurence aka EA Koettings mugshot in this post or just Google it. BALG is just a money laundering, larping, and bottom of the barrel recruiting company.

EA koetting and his associates were always involved in shady cia gov psyop groups like the Tempel ov Blood, ONA, and the hand of death cult. Expect more to come out about ea koettings earlier writings about murder and ped0philia now that some attention is being given to these recent murders, pseudo neo nazis, and the department of homeland security classifying the tempel ov blood as a domestic terrorist group, which is insane since they're government funded and supported.

Not really insane, when one has done research on how politics work. Just look at afghanistan, 9/11 or covid. (Btw not going to discuss this as thats the whole idea)

I have other reasons why i dont take koetting serious. The things you mention i didnt know, but dont surprise me.

I have a question, though.
I have had my share of remote viewers and spyops for several reasons, one of them being the cia. And due to that i understand some of their ways and outcomes in life. So how do you know that what we see now is not exactly what the cia wants? In other words, where does the spyop end and where does reality start?

I can't blame BALG or EA, i hate them but isn't it written in some books that sacrifices are needed? Maybe Danyal went after a specific grimorie and it didn't turn out the way he wanted. Heck just make a money spell or something, Danyal went over the line. But i got alot to say but this is enough.

Bias happens, and we all have some! :)

The only thing I want to say is that Hussein was obviously on a bad kind of pathway from a young age, being already under supervision well before he joined, according to the report I linked above. The fact he was only on for such a short time, making just 25 posts, could equally suggest that he DIDN’T find what he was seeking within the community. But that would be opinion versus opinion, and in a case as upsetting as this I feel more reassured by sticking to the facts.

Even books as innocuous as Harry Potter tell kids that killing others grants occult powers (in the Potter books, invulnerability via Horcruxes, which can only be created through murder) so there are plenty of places an unstable mind could get the same ideas from.

The forum has a large and high-profile thread debunking Hollywood-tier ideas that someone can sell their soul and get enormous material gain right away (I made the OP back in 2017), which several of us link to when anyone joins expressing unrealistic ideas about magick.

The news reported that Hussein was attempting to use these vile acts to net a lottery jackpot of over £300 million, which, to a young man with a lot of alienation and problems, must have seemed like a golden ticket to power and status. So, that’s another destabilising factor, and it’s not really one that was anyone’s fault, unless you fancy digging into the ethics of stratospheric prizes like that.

EA koetting and his associates were always involved in shady cia gov psyop groups like the Tempel ov Blood, ONA, and the hand of death cult.

Drezuli, I’m not sure whether you’re intending to link Hussein to BALG’s forum, but I do wish people would be mindful of the possibility that wild claims risk encouraging unstable people to take an interest in the forum, placing the entire member base at considerable risk.

The BALG forum is an extremely diverse community, with zero tolerance of any posts regarding extremism, and I’ve stated above that there have always been rules on that forum against glorifying violence, or any kind of threatening behaviour, which were in place long before I joined.

So please be mindful of that before making statements which could place us, as ordinary netizens, squarely in the sights of dangerous and disaffected people, who may become angry when they’re swiftly and permanently booted off the platform.

It’s not a very nice feeling to see the media and online gossips gleefully laying out a welcome mat for all kinds of nutters, which we as a community are then left to deal with. 😟

Sadly enough that's how taking down a site works, eva. All that one can do now, is make sure the mess stays as little as possible and dont let yourself get pulled in further.

There is a reason why you hardly see real oldschool wizardry online or in the open: safety issues.

I mean yes definitely. Even if he was never exposed to the occult, you bet someone like Danyal would be in a lot of trouble. From what I know about his supervision, it was more or less about alt-right ideologies and things relating to Nazism, anti-semetism, maybe some calls to violence, but (correct me if I am wrong) I did not see any evidence of actual threats, intentions, or admissions of any violence comitted.

I think I believe and agree with you that it probably wasn't the community that planted the idea of human sacrifice in his head, though of course I can't know without seeing those posts and replies to them.

But I feel like you can't fully dismiss the posibility that EA's "teachings", demeanor and attitude had something to do with it.

Even books as innocuous as Harry Potter tell kids that killing others grants occult powers (in the Potter books, invulnerability via Horcruxes, which can only be created through murder) so there are plenty of places an unstable mind could get the same ideas from.
True, but the difference is, society all around you tells you that harry potter is finctional, not real, and unless you had no concept of societal norms, you'd never really think that the general consensus was that you could achieve the feats in harry potter in real life.

With the occult, it's not like that. Because we actively tell people the occult, magic etc is very real and results are achievable through it, which is true, but can be dangerous when talking about things like sacrifices. It is our duty as occult communities, that while we disseminate the truth, and encourage people to accept occult practices as valid, we also warn them about what is fantasy, what is delusion and what is simply never going to achieve anything except get oneself into deep shit.

I don't feel like EA does a good enough job with that in some of his material. One thing that comes to mind, and again, correct me if I am wrong, is EA "teaching" people to make pacts with demons, and I specifically want to highlight how he says "sign with your own blood, and leave a space for the demon to sign... but... uhhhh... only you'll see that..." like come on, that's just fully misleading and unethical.

The forum has a large and high-profile thread debunking Hollywood-tier ideas that someone can sell their soul and get enormous material gain right away (I made the OP back in 2017), which several of us link to when anyone joins expressing unrealistic ideas about magick.
That's good. We should do that here as well.

The news reported that Hussein was attempting to use these vile acts to net a lottery jackpot of over £300 million, which, to a young man with a lot of alienation and problems, must have seemed like a golden ticket to power and status. I really don't think we should blame murders on the lottery... haha.

So please be mindful of that before making statements which could place us, as ordinary netizens, squarely in the sights of dangerous and disaffected people, who may become angry when they’re swiftly and permanently booted off the platform.
@everyone: I agree with Eva here. Let's try not to witch hunt and make wild claims and accusations. If my BALG-hating ass can remain objective and level-headed, you all can too.

It’s not a very nice feeling to see the media and online gossips gleefully laying out a welcome mat for all kinds of nutters, which we as a community are then left to deal with.
Yeah I totally get that. I do feel it's undair to single out BALG and put all the blame on you guys like that.

Yawn. The balg is full of delusional unstable people and I've been exposing cults and occult scammers there for years. The balg group of authors and anything associated with them don't have anyone's best interests other than their own.

Hello.

volunteer member moderator
It seems like you have some "power", but with it, also responsabilities come.
I posted about this because it implies either some spiritual influence, or possibly just local lore, may have caused old and horrifying customs to be carried forward to the present day. That the cartels are superstitious and have complex
You didn't mention this in that post, if I remember correctly. Instead of visually displaying graphic violence, why not to make a very informal post (without subjectivity in it)? There are people which can get triggered by such things and it can act as a fuel for them.
Danyal Hussein had a total of 25 posts on the forum, he joined 4th March 2018, and he made his last post 14th Nov 2018.

His Profile with that Nov 2018 “Last Post” date is briefly visible in the video by the BBC, 2nd from the left on the screen
It might have been his last post on 14th Nov 2018, but in a video it is shown that the last time when he was active on the balg forum was with some hours prior to getting arrested by the UK police. Can you prove otherwise? His profile got deleted.
When the news broke, I was absolutely sickened and horrified, as you can probably imagine.
I was sickened and horrified too when I found out he was a member of the balg forum and also remembering that on the forum, the moderator (which should be an example for others on the forum in terms of behaviour in posts) shared a link to a mayan human sacrifice ritual in which the heart of the sacrifice is extracted and that it corresponds with the time frame/interval in which Danyal Hussein, a double murderer, was active on the forum. I was also sickened and horrified when I remembered that you are from UK, knowing that Danyal Hussein lives in UK too and also knowing that in UK got arrested in the previous years others which were identified as being dangerous people from a group called ONA and also knowing that on the balg forum were/are some shady members which also are from UK. Why shouldn't I or others believe that you were collaborating with Danyal Hussein or supporting him somehow?
I’ve been on the BALG forum since 2013 and the forum has always strictly enforced a zero tolerance policy for threats, abuse, or glorifying violence.
To me it doesn't seem like it was a strict enforced zero tolerance policy for theeaths, abuse or glorifying violence since there was/maybe still is (I didn't check) bullying of others members, especially older members bullying newer members. Why?
I absolutely and unreservedly condemn any actions of that kind
It didn't seem like it was the case.

A few years ago I posted a link about the sickening drug-trade cartel killings, with clear warnings in both the topic title and body of the post, and with the link itself hidden behind a spoiler tab, with a comment that it resembled recreatio
More exactly it corresponds with the time when Danyal Hussein was active on the forum.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, I think of them daily, and express deepest sympathies for their loss.
I don't really think that your "heart goes out" (refering to the extraction of the heart depicted in the video which got shared by you? Haha) about what it happened to those two women because if you did, maybe you wouldn't have shared a link to a human sacrifice, knowing that some people can actually get triggered to act by such things. Probably you valued sharing knowledge/information more than the life/lives of other/s.
I originally joined that forum because of my interest in using magick for the spiritual healing and ascent of all humankind, something which can be witnessed in posts of mine such as the 2015 thread titled “Theogenesis” which can be searched & read in full without registration.
It is worth mentioning the fact that you shared some useful knowledge. I also mention that you helped me and others in some ways (at least it seems like this, until the contrary is proven, if it's the case), but again, with great power, also great responsibility comes and to me it seemed like you weren't too responsible - making troll posts as a moderator, etc. If the moderator makes troll posts, why shouldn't everybody be allowed to do the same? The student surpasses his teacher.

Also, what's with the status which is something like "bunny hugger supremacy"? In UK there are people which are part of the White Supremacy or something like that and I think their root is known.

Also, I want to mention that ArtisMagistra, who used to post on WizardForums, when he made an account on the balg forum, soon he was banned for like 1000 years just for being him! Should others on the forum ban you just for being Lady_Eva?

I've heard that some members on the balg forum ritually sacrifice others (not physically) - maybe others did this or not, but someone who was a member on the balg forum actually killed two women as a "sacrifice".

I am not affiliated in any business or other way with BALG, beyond being active on their forums, so I don’t represent them, nor speak for them in any way whatsoever.
Ok, I will consider this. I will still mention some things, without linking them to you. In herbarium diabolicum, EA Koetting (of which I was a big fan) was mentioning about alcohol and link to violence from it and autoportraits himself as close to Jeffrey Dahmer (if I remember correctly), Ted Bundy. Was this necessary? In the video in which EA Koetting has a seminar about evocation at an university, he makes a joke about the demand for 55 human sacrifices he mentioned, something like "maybe I would do it, haha", then when someone on one of his livestream hipotetically asked him something like "if killing a baby will give you supreme power, would you do it?" and he replied with something like "maybe I would do it, or maybe I wouldn't do it" and I think that the livestream got broadcasted after Biba Henry and Nicole Smallman died. Still to joke about such things after two people died?
