[Tutorial] Dealing with the heatwave

Informative post.
A heatwave has swept across Europe. While we cannot do much with that, we can at least make it a bit more manageable.

To use this spell, you have to charge it first. Hop into a shower and make it as cold as you can withstand. As you adapt to the cold, feel free to make the shower colder.

While in the shower, focus on the cold water flowing around your body. Focus on the feeling of water cooling you down. As you do so, vibrate the following formula: JA MEI ZAMA. Associate the feeling of cold with this formula.

Do the above for a couple of minutes. After that, when you are outside, and you feel too hot, just focus on the feeling you had in the shower and vibrate the formula again.

Well, Bohemia was the center of the Magickal world for quite a while. Edward Kelley's tower, etc.

Europe is heating twice as fast as most of the rest of the planet (unless the AMOC collapses, which would send Europe in the other direction in an equally dire way). The future is very bleak. I've heard of people attempting to use magic and 'deities' to mitigate the general climate trends, but I haven't seen the slightest bit of evidence of it working.

Je mi zima (as in Czech for "I'm cold")?
"Zima" also means "winter" in most Slavic languages. There's a different word for cold entirely, variations of the word holodno/hladno.

For anyone new to extreme heat, a few tips from someone that has spent decades in the desert:

- Stay hydrated!!!!!!!!!! Bring water with you!!!!!! The chances of you being too hydrated are small compared to being too hot.

- It's always cooler under a tree.

- Use evaporation cooling. A wet rag or bandana around a bottle of water will keep it cool. A wet head band or wet bandana around your neck makes a huge difference. A nice breeze and a spray bottle can save lives.

- Light colors reflect heat, light and loose clothes let your sweat become evaporation cooling. There's no bad weather, just bad clothes.

- Take breaks, don't over-exert yourself, and if you ever feel a chill or cold, confused, nauseated, stop sweating, get cramps, or feel dizzy, that's likely heat stroke, and can be deadly. Know your limits.

- It's only June, so for anyone looking long term solutions, if you go for a run or hard workout in the heat of the day for 6 weeks, you'll push your body to adapt faster to the heat. This is the opposite end of the spectrum for cold exposure. Usually, it's better to start this around May and work up to the full summer. For what it's worth, I do hot and cold exposure and once I work up to it, 30-35C is my happy place each summer. Then each fall I work back down with cold exposure to 10-18C as my happy place.

The spell that has saved me at times in this hot climate ;

keep your clothes wet . As it evaporates its very cool in there . Some say ; ''I am not going to do that and walk around in wet clothes .''

Ohhhh ... you will , eventually . The sweat will wet them anyway .
