How to find a deity to work with? Im interested in this topic but I dont know if the deity reaches to me or the other way around? What is your experience?

Loki came to me, not me to him. Same with other spirits I have around myself.
But if none calls to you, no problem in choosing one yourself, do some short devotion practice and see if the deity is willing to work with you for longer time.
