"Your Honor, this Complaint seeks declaratory and equitable relief on the ground that the Edenic Covenant was structurally defective ab initio – lacking informed assent, lawful consideration, proportionate and intelligible penalties, and enforceable scope – and was therefore incapable of valid or equitable enforcement against the original parties or innocent successors."

[...]
B. Material Misrepresentation of Offeror’s Sovereign Authority – Inherent Sovereignty does not Require Contractual Architecture.
The offeror represented himself as possessing sole authority to enact and enforce the Covenant on behalf of all Elohim and further held himself out as exercising exclusive authority to speak for and bind the assent of the universe in its entirety. Only following formation of the agreement were the Plaintiffs informed, through a third party, that the offeror’s asserted authority was contested – a material fact not disclosed at the time of formation.
Furthermore, the offeror expressly framed the Covenant as an agreement rather than a mere directive from a superior to a servant by attaching a defined penalty to noncompliance, instead of simply instructing that the prohibited action not be undertaken. By conditioning obedience upon the threat of punitive consequence, the offeror transformed what might otherwise have been an opportunity for divine instruction into reliance upon a non-sovereign juridical undertaking, thereby invoking the essential characteristics of a binding contract with a stipulated penalty.
In so doing, the offeror elected to operate within the constraints of a juridical framework rather than demonstrate sovereign providence – employing the legal technology of a created entity rather than excercising inherent divine authority – for a truly sovereign directive requires no penalty to secure its authority, whereas the imposition of sanction evidences reliance upon contractual obligation and renders the relationship juridical rather than sovereign in character. Indeed, within an authentically sovereign order, the knowledge of having fallen into disfavor with the sovereign would itself constitute the paramount inducement toward obedience, carrying a moral and relational gravity surpassing any threatened temporal consequence. The resort to the warning “you shall surely die” therefore reflects dependence upon punitive deterrence rather than upon the inherent authority traditionally attendant to sovereign command.

Sigh...

Looks like I'm gonna have to drop the REAL Genesis story here somewhere. Not the diluted joke that passes off for it, from 'translators'.

I'm not 100% done with my own, real translation yet, but I got far enough. Spoiler alert: It's all Adam's fault.

Yes. Yes. Finally. I'm agnostic but this story feels like it represents how some men (not all) dont take accountability for their actions and I'm tired.

Take some accountability please. Please. Its all I ask.

"Burdening a hapless creature with the sole responsibility to bring only perfection into the presence of God, is the most ludicrous, vacuous, and diabolical philosophy ever crafted. The construct does bear a mission however: securing the enslavement, tithe, and worship of its intended victim.

It is critical that one not place trust in any entity that advocates for such a notion. Regardless of their perceived status, those who propagate such a teaching are not concerned with the welfare of anyone in particular; rather, their aim is to assert their divine authority."

Place the blame not upon the billions of victims who have lived in ignorance, but upon those who would create yet more victims by denying their rights as sentient beings. Besides, Adam and Eve were allegories. Their story is the excuse used by those with agency for violence against those who haven't the power to fight back.

The way I see it, the "legal claim" in the previous post isn't against GOD, The Inexpressible One, but against pretenders, Yahweh and the Elohim (the gods). I wouldn't even put them on the level of the Gnostic Demiurge because I don't believe they created the material universe. Perhaps, just as a thought experiment, these beings know how to manipulate DNA and thus they believe they have an intellectual property claim on the human body according to their way of seeing things. Perhaps. Are they GOD? No, we're not even dealing with middle management in the divine hierarchy when talking about Yahweh and his co-conspirators. They've acted like mafia since the beginning: "Make humans an offer they can't refuse."

And really, if you bother to read and keep an open mind, questioning the narratives that saturate society, you'll leave behind the fear caused by a lifetime of emotional abuse from entities who have only ever pretended to care about you, beings who resort to violence while claiming loss, the very definition of a cry-bully.

Some of the best bits from historian Russell E. Gmirkin's research:

The Identity Crisis
Gmirkin argues the Genesis 1 Creator (Elohim) is Plato's cosmic Demiurge (the good guy).
But Yahweh in Genesis 2-3 is just one of the "sons of God" - a lesser terrestrial deity. So Yahweh got a cosmic promotion later in Exodus when he got identified with the Creator in the Ten Commandments

The Alexandria Library Cheat Sheet
"What if we took Greek philosophy homework and made it... Scripture?"
Gmirkin dates the Torah to ~270 BCE at the Library of Alexandria. Jewish scholars basically did a Hellenistic book report on Plato, cribbing from the Neoplatonists.

Humans Middle Management Project
God as Divine Bureaucrat
Plato's Demiurge outsourced creating mortals to his divine offspring (to avoid blame for evil).
Genesis 2-3's Yahweh is one of these "middle management" gods doing the messy work of Creation.

Sure, allegories, archetypes even. But, the real lesson of the Myth and the power and truth it was supposed to tell was subverted by translators with an agenda.

Meh. Truth is a potluck - everyone brings their own dish. This is mine, for the time being (ha! pun not intended!)

This is mythopoetic synthesis to be ritualized and form a language. Myths are more like poetry and and story about relationship - being in relation - three main variables: The Infinite (however you conceive of it), the Unknown, and The Others. For Trad Magic th Others are non-human, but myth also can reflect how we relate to other humans , or even other aspects of ourselves, depending on context.

Myth advises on the various stances we humans can take: subservient/worshipful/pleading, collaborative, or directing/commanding. All have their place. As a magician, art director, and artist, I tend to see what we do as taking more of an executive director role at a Creative Agency rather than a functionary in the British Empire view (see Gilliam's Supreme Being ), or a priestly functionary in a neoPagan or Christian religion.

In my mythic view, Plato, the Gnostics , the Catholics, and others, weren't inventing anything... not really. They're all talking about an understanding from a prior Earth Age, and talk about the SAME BEINGS that pre-pottery Neolithic people carved in stone at Gobekli Tepe (10,000 BCE).

Karen Armstrong's thesis in her 'A Short History of Myth' says Monotheism was our first myth. Armstrong argues that people began to personify the sky and started to tell stories about a "Sky God" or "High God" who had single-handedly created heaven and earth out of nothing, and this primitive monotheism almost certainly dates back to the Paleolithic period, if not before, in my view.

So treating the ruins at Gobekli Tepe (10,000 BCE) as a valuable semiotext, In my interpretation, the T-shaped pillars there are not representations of "gods" in the later polytheistic sense (well they are, but not really) , but are the lower terrestrial time agents (daimons / spirits). The pillars communicate the role of the Demiurge, as a transcendent Time God, and his agents who order the cosmos through geometry, time, and intermediate divine agency (daimons, which just means' messengers').

I'm also not claiming Plato read Gobekli Tepe's blueprints. Rather I'm suggesting as useful for traditional magic (which is very Catholic sounding) , that the theological concept preserved at Gobekli Tepe is the SAME CONCEPT that later cultures formalized as "the Demiurge."

At Gobekli Tepe the central pillars are the chief time-agents - perhaps the Lords of the Year, the Masters of Seasons. The peripheral pillars are their subordinates - the markers of months, the trackers of lunar cycles. Together, they form a cosmic hierarchy serving the intermediate Creator, as The Demiurge: The original Creator God who created all later creator gods.

My Demiurgic Mythopeotic synthesis, which I can support if needed, but honestly "Truth (tm)" is for people who can't handle magic.

The Creator "Sky God's" time-agents at Gobekli Tepe (10,000 BCE)
--to--
Egyptian decan theology: 36 star-gods controlling time divisions (2100 BCE)
--to--
Platonic philosophy: The Demiurge creates time through celestial mechanics (380 BCE)
--to--
Paul's Neoplatonic/Merkabah vision: Christ as Logos mediating between transcendent God and material creation, engaging with "thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers" - the cosmic hierarchy of time-bound angelic agents (50-60 CE)
--to--
The Gnostic inversion: The time-agents become the Archonic prison guards. (150 CE)

That "is" the Demiurge, or at least how I see it. And where He goes: into Hermeticism, Judaism, Gnosticism, and Catholicism, each with different accents.

How that localizes for us as magicians: look at the relative importance of being in tune with the temporal time-agents in our ritual work, such as in the Hygromanteia.
