There's times a new song will intersect with a larger working in many different ways as part of a nexus of events.

That happened with the Grimes song Shinigami Eyes in 2022. The timing of its release, artist personal connections, and song promotion with a video game coincided with a powerful winter storm(Landon) being tapped during a ceremony to weaponize a celestial hyperphysical entity to help my nation deal with occult aspects of convoy protests as part of a larger global and spiritual battle.

The following is the constellation of the entity's appearance after our hyperphysical encounter in 2007/2008.

Sure but my pick is gregorian chant and anglican hymns. It kind of bring focus and stability but it's more of making me grounded.

Some songs are great for pathworking with the right motif, timings, changes and sounds with corresponding associations.

Malkuth to the path between Hod and Tiphereth for my xabala.

It's also a good example why electronic songs are usually longer. It's compact and quick at 5min.

Some songs appropriated as means to access astral arenas.
This was to get to the start of a race to astronomical Earendel and back soon after its discovery in 2022.

The emotions and connection of fans to the artist and song was an important link to channeling layers of storm experience through their reward with Rocket League.

Lyrically the way the eyes were integrated in that song after rejection in Chromaggia a good counterpoint and representative of events.

I recently discovered the album Templar Chant by Rick Oli and I think it would be great fit for some rituals. BENNETT - Holy Place and Goa-Psy Trance are pretty awesome too but not really for rituals lol maybe for meditation/visualization work.

In 2009 I decided to start experimenting using music posts as a link for telepathy and spiritual forces in an active thread on a busy general forum with a Dwight Yoakam song.
What was going to be a one off turned out amazing in how quickly and by how many people(a halfdozen or more at first) the idea was picked up on and contributed to, even subconsciously. The first few weeks were pretty chaotic but as the weeks become months an organization formed and the experiment went way out of my hands. Different styles of music and people playing off each other created posts of energized songs in different energized playlists all blended in one thread. It was fun to move between them and start new ones as old ones fade out and come back. Links shifting constantly. It was like a dynamo and raised a lot of energy. Introduced a lot of music. A few years later forum closed down. Trends change over time and most people don't post music like that anymore so it's unlikely that such could spontaneously happen again but it was great that it did.

I hardly ever listen to music doing ritual, but I'm probably weird because I really only listen to music when I'm in my car. I usually keep it quiet in the house. Sometimes I'll listen to ambient music while reading though.

For ceremonial magic, I don't use music. I find it distracting.
However, for my weekly offering rituals, I do play music that goes along with the "vibe" of my patron spirit. Usually, instrumental Middle Eastern.
