Does anyone else see spiderwebs?

No i don't mean physical ones.

Sometimes out of nowhere i will notice some incorporeal thread of silk(?) or something connecting things, seemingly at random.
I say "silk" because while they are usually straight, sometimes they look like they are slack and draped between points.
I can walk around them and they stay in position, i can move my body and objects through them with little disturbance.
I don't know if this is a known esoteric/occult phenomenon or if there is just something weird happening with my brain sometimes.


Does anyone else see this, or know of someone who does? Or literary references?

I am unsure. But I could pose the theory that perhaps your brain is trying to make sense of the interconnectedness of The All. When you meddle with esoteric concepts having to do with the nature of the universe, sometimes your brain can do things like that to make sense of it.

Do you literally see them? My first thought was that it could be some type of synesthesia thing but I assume these are more hallucination-ish. You probably won't get good answers without better context. What did you do recently?

It’s such a fascinating visual! I’ve heard of people experiencing similar things when their perception starts to shift during deeper practice. Sometimes, our brain just finds its own unique 'language' to map out the patterns we’re starting to notice, whether it’s interconnectedness or something else entirely. If it’s not causing you any distress, maybe just observe it as another layer of your practice?

I doubt it's synesthesia, i have auditory-tactile synesthesia so i know what to expect. There seems to be nothing triggering this phenomenon, though my sample size is limited at the moment.
It could be a hallucination of sorts? but as far as i'm aware, im healthy and well nourished so it seems peculiar.
All i've been doing recently is what i normally do. Artwork and spending time with my partner. Personally i don't really see much of a connection.

I primarily do a sort of astrogalomancy as my method of divination.
But i don't really see how i could incorporate this seemingly random occurrence into my work at all. Maybe it's useful, maybe it's not. I'm mostly just curious if people know of any references to stuff like this before.

That makes total sense, and I completely agree astragalomancy is such a wonderful and powerful tradition, and bones or dice have always just been a physical focal point for something much deeper happening within us.

When you're engaged in any form of divination, those 'random' visual or sensory phenomena might actually just be a sign that your perception is sharpening and your inner symbol-translation system is starting to catch broader frequencies. You don't even have to force them directly into the reading technique itself; sometimes it's enough just to observe them as an inner compass they're simply telling you that your awareness is unlocked on a deeper level.

Just keep listening to your intuition, the practice naturally finds its way when you give it room to breathe. Happy casting!
