Hey everyone, and I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to ask this since I'm conflicted on the internet it says that the lesser banishment ritual of the pentgram is meant to cleanse your energy, impower your magick, and put you in the mindset for magick, but I asked some witches who claim that it does banish people. So which is which ?

LBRP is meant to cleanse your energy. When you search for it, you will probably mainly find this use.

If some witches adapted and use it for another purpose, that is their way and if it works, so be it.

well I do think if you were hanging out with a group of non-occultist friends and suddenly started to do the LBRP, they would most likely be very weirded out and leave…so technically it could be used to banish people but probably not in the way you’re thinking lmao

Both. Its short term effect is to prepare you for ritual. The long term effect has the reputation of removing unwanted people from your life.

This ritual cleanses the astral space. Expels all entities. It can probably expel people, especially those on whom larvae and other settlers are hanging.

It can banish people if those people are specifically being used as tools to derail you but even if thats the case you have to do something alot more drastic to permanently banish the person the LBRP will only provide temporary energetic relief.

Dependent on where you found these witches they could be misinformed. There is a large section of "witchcraft" that is just New Age in a Halloween costume and they have some pretty warped ideas about what our rituals do and where they come from.

LBRP is very simply the equivalent of taking a shower, putting on clean clothes, and tidying up the kitchen. It gives you a clean mind, body, spirit, and space to work with.

I think it helps to think of the LBRP as taking all the fuckery of earth and sending it up into the spirit realm. You're taking out the metaphysical garbage that has clung to you. It might not remove negative people right away but it can unclutter your mind in such a way that you will have better ideas with how to deal with people.

First, let's use a bit of logic... in a mundane world, the first thing which actually works is the mundane action or in this case, attitude.
No amount of magic will remove anyone... many tried, from awful bosses to toxic spouse, from "dumb witches" to Putin and other tyrants so no, doesn't work like that and anyone can lit up their pants, I don't care... there is magic that works and magic that is simply illusion, wishful thinking, fantasy, play pretend....
What does work... omg, this is gold.. what does indeed work is your ability to let go. What I mean by that is your own self-realisation that the "toxic" individual or "abusive behavior" is no longer having the same negative effect over you.
With other words and I will repeat this perspective until the day I move on, "unless you are a tree, you can move from a bad relationship" .
I came to realise that every single "toxic" something (be it relationship with friends, bullies, parents, spouse.... what have you) is not meant to torment the "victim" but to push for self-empowering through the lessons received like: establish of healthy boundaries, improved communication, learning detachment and so so many other cool stuff.
Yes, indeed the experience is awful and from the center of that experience one has no perspective of saying anything else but the experience of victimization that's why there are some individuals just like me who offer to share a perspective which is not aligning with the mainstream, basically we say stuff which is not popular but does weight heavy as it comes from personal experience rather than ego and shadow.

About the pentagram and the powerful energy which many doctrines and occult ideologies try to harness its power and appropriate its meaning...
The pentagram is a continuous path forming 5 triangles (when seen in a 2d environment) . In the collective consciousness we have meanings for triangles (I will not go in depth with this but):
Triangle pointing up is representative to fire, masculine, stable base, power, penetration, direction, strong and firm logic based on knowledge.
Triangle pointing down - is representative to feminine energy, water element, perception, intuition, fluidity, abstract thinking, receiving... so on.
In the galactic consciousness there are meanings for symbols too as there are concepts within lines and geometry of the lines... distance between and we kind of have a name for that, we call it sacred geometry.
With other words, the witches do indeed are right because the pentagram is conjuring all those elements and all those attributes I've briefly shared but the other version of the experience is also true because of the same reason, the primordial shapes carry meaning and energy. It is your choice what to believe, because what you believe is the building block of your reality.
So choose both versions. Why in conflict? Why create segregation when you can choose to allow both types of experiences to serve your needs. be smart.
