It is absolutely common to have vivid, strange, or intense dreams after ritual work! Think of it this way: a ritual is basically an act of 'tuning' your consciousness to a different frequency. When you go to sleep, your mind is still processing that shift, which often manifests as symbolic or powerful dreams.

Regarding the 'demons' and nightmares it’s rarely about the spirit trying to scare you. Often, when we start working with intense or primal forces, they act like a mirror. They can bring up our own hidden anxieties, suppressed fears, or personal 'shadow' material to the surface for us to see and integrate. Sometimes that process feels like a nightmare, but it’s actually a sign of your psyche expanding to hold that new energy.

If you're finding them too overwhelming:

  1. Make sure you are doing a proper 'closing' or 'banishing' after your rituals to ground yourself back in your daily life.
  2. Don't rush into heavy evocation work if you're feeling fragile. Build up your 'psychic muscles' with simpler, grounding practices first.
  3. If you feel spooked, talk to the spirit clearly and respectfully set boundaries and ask for the energy to be presented in a way you can understand without the terror.
You are in control of your temple and your mind. Don't let the intensity deter you, just learn how to regulate the flow! ☺️
