Early successes?

My practice of magic is very infrequent, sometimes I'm planning sigils/rituals and will do a number in a short time. Otherwise I go for long periods with nothing to enchant for. Sometimes even after planning a string of things, I'll stop after the first one or two.

Since I began practicing, over a decade ago, my life has considerably improved, achieved a lot of the goals I set out to. But I have a strong memory of a very minor spell cast in the early days. I was planning long term, like getting out of debt, attaining a degree, getting employment in my chosen sector, but at the time, me and some friends had moved into a new rental, that wasn't even fully finished. A friends step-dad was tiling the floor for us as we were planning the move, and I had lent him my backdoor key, so he could leave and enter as he pleased. After we moved in it wasn't clear where the key was left, so amongst casting for my big dreams and goals, I also cast for the return of this key. Just a few days later, I was chatting to a housemate, and while we were talking she absent-mindedly picked up a vase on the window-ledge near where she was standing. She took off the lid and fished inside and pulled out my backdoor key, then looked at me confused. I thanked her for finding my key.
It was then I no longer had any doubts.

Do you have any stories where your practice really clicked for you? No matter how seemingly insignificant.

I remember my early successes vividly. Many years ago, I cast hexes on people who bullied me and hurt me. But each person had a different condition attached, and once it was set, it couldn’t be cleansed or reversed, they had to go through the condition of the hex.

Those hexes were only gone after each person’s condition was fulfilled, so it was more like payback. And it played out exactly the way it was set up for each of them. At the time, it felt satisfying because it felt like justice.
