Personally, I think dealing with money as the medium and metric of success is the wrong way to go about it. You want a life of plenty, a life free of stress, a life with resources and joy. Money is only an intermediary exchanged for those things, not those things themselves.
Looking for ways to improve your luck, to foster and provide paths for joy, for opportunities and resources to find you is how these things enter your life. If you sit at home and sulk and go no where, talk to no one, do nothing to improve your situation, nothing good will fight its way to find you. You must open the door for things to enter your life. Break your patterns and look for luck, and the things you expect to buy with money might find you without ever needing to get your hands filthy wanting the middle step in the first place.
