Does anyone have a lead on a guide for the magical correspondences of plants indigenous to this region, specifically?

I know that my answer may be a little late, but if you are still interested by the subject, Cyndi Brannen lives in Nova Scotia, Canada, and she wrote the book "Entering Hekate's Garden: The Magick, Medicine & Mystery of Plant Spirit Witchcraft".

I would recommend looking at general North American compendiums to see if the specific plants you're thinking of are covered in there. I live in the US Midwest, which has a ton of overlap with plants of Eastern North America and have gotten a lot of success that way. You may also find some useful legends and further reading in this page on
