I wonder how book rights work. I ask because I this book was the first ebook that I ever legitimately purchased back in 2012/2013 and I just checked my digital copy and it was published by Llewellyn. Same title and ISBN. However, this specific version being offered here was published in 2024 and from Crossed Crow books. I thought book rights have like 100+ years until it's in the public domain and then anyone can re-publish it.

Thats author's copyright. A publisher can give the rights to a book back at any time, or only contract for a limited term; such as, for example, one print run. After the rights revert to the author, he's free to offer them to other publishers.
