Employing daemons to aid divination?

Recently came across Shay Crow’s introduction to Goetia course and in one lesson he talks of employing spirits to aid in divination. Specifically he calls on Vassago before divining - Vassago having a "good nature" and the ability to reveal past and future events.

He uses a pendulum and a dice method as described in Goetic Divination by Jake Stratton Kent, who in this work employs Scirlin for these purposes.

Q - Does anyone have any experiences working with spirits in this way, any other specific spirits you’ve found particularly helpful in this regard?

In the past King Purson, mainly for tarot. Also for a long time I used a deck specially for one Angel (Arzel). Now only ask my higher self/birth-angel etc.

Thanks for your comment Yazata; I’ll keep King Purson in mind for future divination work. I’m new to working with the Goetic spirits and was interested to find easier ways to start working with them rather than full evocations to manifestation.

I'm a fan of Jake's pendulum board (and a lot of his grimoire stuff in general, having been working magically for 30-odd years now and mostly Verum for the past five or six.)

We- my wife and I share some equipment- also have and use a concave black mirror that's set into a box with Vassago's seal on the lid, that was produced in a limited run back in the early 2000s. I'm not keen on posting photographs of ritual equipment online but it's basically a wooden (might be MDF!), oak laminated box, 7x7x3 inches, with the 6" mirror inside. The mirror has never been touched by sunlight.

Vassago is, in my experience, an excellent spirit for people who are starting out with the grimoires in general along with Orobas. I haven't heard of Shay Crow but the info you've posted makes their course sound promising. I can vouch for Dr. Al Cummins' courses too. He puts a lot of work into them, and is generally a nice bloke. Good luck!

Edit- typo.

Thank for your reply Fr TzQ, really like the look of Dr Cummins’ courses. They always look to be very well researched and having listened to him on various podcasts I really gel with his approach.
