The alphabet is given as three rows of 7 letters, which obviously means it is possible to assign / deduct / imagine a connection to the 7 planets.
I haven't spent much energy checking planetary correspondences used by the Golden Dawn or contemporary ockultists (haven't looked into these at all to be honest) but rather drew my own conclusions. A big part of (the meaning of) this is my earlier idea that Enochian is – on one level – a form of coded Sumerian, since the names of the letters have their match in Sumerian words.
Now. The three planetary letters can then be used as a mantra (if the names of the letters are used rather than the actual letters themselves). The names of the Lunar letters B M X are Pa, Tal and Pal. In Sumerian these three words translate as “branch”, “to expand” and “garment”. So the mantra PA TAL PAL then describes or calls up a “garment that expands your branch” which I interpret as growth (of the senses). You could imagine it as a robe or jacket from which branches sprout forth perhaps.
To use this:
- banish and / or set up your ritual space
- light some pleasantly scented appropriate incense
- lay down on your back
- once you and your breathing are calm, visualize the nightsky above you
- see the full moon directly above you
- notice a purple triangle surrounding the moon
- start to slowly chant (as long as you wish) the mantra PA-TAL-PAL (or one of the other planetary mantra's)
- whatever you now see or feel will be personal to you and you can spend as long or short in this state as you wish
- if you want to stop, then please perform the following steps:
- see (visualize) the planets aligned above you, see this as concentric circles
- vibrate the Name IAO
- see a beam of light coming down from beyond Saturn
- allow this pillar of light to take you back to your temple
- breathe
