Yes, the genocide of the Cathars doesn't get spoken about much. But their losses were monumental.Long ago travelling through France, my partner would not put her bare feet on the soil. She said there was too much blood in it

Beautiful. I am working on copper tensor rings for inside my house.I have a nature spirit sitting on top of my house. I give it various tasks including moving away Hartmann grid lines from my bed.
I am very pleased with the various results

Living in Alaska must've been amazing. That'd be an interesting study: why some influences linger. After all, doesn't the Rubiyat suggest that every clod of earth was once a beauty, hero, or poet? So there's probably cause to have every square inch of turf haunted, but only some of the influences---and not necessarily the worst or seeming strongest--- obtrude themselves. I lived in the woods for a spell in Alaska and there experienced, call it "haunting." In the evening, I'd hear what sounded wagon and foot traffic along what had been the gold-rushers' trail up Chilkoot Pass . Pretty mundane stuff, all in all. Maybe all these unfulfilled dreams of the gold seekers?
Yes I totally agree, the thirst for Gold was one that keeps them looking even now as they walk the planes of their next life.
