I’ve been largely slacking on a purpose or goal with ceremonial magick since my mundane life has gotten a lot busier over the past year. However recently I’ve been prompted back into it through dreaming and reading Jung, so I decided to do a short program I designed to set the foundational work for more complicated rituals in the future.
My inspiration for this program is heavily reliant on Jung's concept of individuation, with the goal of strengthening the cooperation and relationship between the ego and the unconscious.
The vehicle for achieving this is ceremonial magick, using powerful symbols to communicate this intent to the unconscious.
The program is 8 weeks long and divided into 2 major stages:
1. Lunar Period: This stage is 4 weeks long and involves invoking the moon daily with each element (water, earth, air, then fire) to uncover, solidify, understand, and energize the material communicated to the ego.
The ultimate goal of the lunar stage is to open receptive channels to the unconscious and make its contents known to the ego.
2. Solar Period: This stage is also 4 weeks long and involves invoking the sun daily with each element (water, earth, air, then fire) to embody, manifest, communicate, and actualize the unconscious material that has been revealed during the lunar stage.
The ultimate goal of the solar stage is to consciously integrate unconscious material into the ego and express these integrated truths authentically in the world.
One thing I was particularly interested in with this kind of stuff is how it interacts with astrological placements. As I feel a lot more like my moon sign and can recognize the archetypal influence of it, but as well as the “pure” essence of invoking the moon. It’s an interesting interaction.
It can not be overstated that without a solid metaphysical foundation, your practice lacks that existential punch needed to fully individuate as a prince of light or embodied divine being. if you think of the collective unconscious as what Jung mentioned as a euphemism for the actual spirit world, his theory will be more effective in practice then under a strictly psychological model which is just glorified therapy for nerds. im not looking to "be content", its either escape this prison planet as the angelic being you believe to be or bust. If you cant carry yourself with that raw honesty of how insufficient being human is and have a pathological craving for the "beyond", dont bother calling yourself an occultist.
This is ultimately just a psychological cope. Also just because YOU need that doesn’t mean I need that, I am not bound by the same delusions of grandeur.

thanks, I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of these internet grand magicians live a rather pitiful life and find this obscure forum a way to cling on to some semblance of pride by pretending to be a “master of magick” who alone holds the correct interpretation of “magick”

I think of them as the "WE KNOW BETTER!!!" crowd. I also think it's counterproductive to magick to have a narrow worldview. It's by expanding our boundaries that we grow, both as magicians and as people. Let existence speak to us (and to others) as it will, without preconceptions, and "reality" becomes more permeable and malleable.
