Author Experience with Quareia

Hello everyone,
I'm interested in pursuing Qureia but its hard to find any information from people who are already working with it.
If anyone here is working with that system, what is the impression so far ?
If someone has some experience then decided to stop it, why was that so ?

I started and stopped a couple of times. Currently working very slowly through the initial materials. It's tough and takes dedication as you're really on your own. Good stuff, just takes dedication and patience. Josephine is awesome.

Doesn't Quareia have some social groups online? I doubt Josephine would let her fellow students go blindly

I think the Quareia has some real gold in it but I also think it's written with an angelic slant to it. Which makes sense. Josephine works (mainly) with angelic beings, so she is going to communicate her experiences with them and their words to her, but it's still something to consider and watch out for.

From what I'm aware of and read up on, it's a very much self contained, solo practitioner path. You need to learn a lot and it's a slow pace, there are 3 levels, I can't remember the name of the middle one, but i think they go Novice, Intermediate, Adept. The idea is that you spend several years on each of the levels and it's probably 10-15 years to do the whole thing. Big focus initially on mastering meditation etc. I believe further in to the modules there are a couple of "tests" or things that you do, that can be an issue, but part of the course is you learn to sort it yourself.

I have seen someone comment they felt it was "safe" magic and restrictive for them, but the idea is you learn things BEFORE you need or use them, it's not like jumping straight into Goetia. All the material is free, so that's something. Josephine herself says it's not a path for everyone, and it was the path Frater Acher has trodden too.

Yep, Apprentice then Initiate then Adept. It's very detailed and the beginning is very much meditation, vision work, and inner senses. All available freely but I prefer having a real book so I had to go out and get them.
If you don't want to go through the full program but still want some good info and practices then her Magical Knowledge Trilogy is excellent, too.
She's been on some good podcasts if you want to get an idea of her way of looking at things. Check out Glitch Bottle interviews with her.

Do you all agree that you should stop doing results-oriented magic (calling on a spirit for something, using talismans, etc) while working with Quareia?

I have no intention of stopping results magic while I study Quareia. I haven't been actually "doing" much results magic but I leave that door open. The program, done correctly, takes potentially years. I still study and practice theurgy as well. Quareia, while fantastic, is not my only magical path.

I may be wrong, often am , but that's my opinion.

I started it but didn't get too far into it. I did the things like visualizing walking to nearby places and it did give some good things albeit nothing truly striking. I believe I moved out when the course got onto tarot because I just never particularly clicked well with tarot.

Tarot is a weak piont for me too as far as using it for divination. It's never been my favorite, especially the RWS tarot. I used to use the Marseille to reasonably good effect. I actually prefer geomancy.
That said, I'm diving into for the cabalistic knowledge now.

How did you get into geomancy? I only really know that it has dots. After I moved on from tarot, I went straight to the iching and I've found it especially helpful for guidance. How did cabalistic stuff get your attention? I tried to give it a shot since it's so common in western esotericism but I was eventually turned off from it due to my own personal unpleasant feelings for anything attached to yahweh/abrahamism. That lingering negative relationship definitely hampered my spiritual ability to connect to and work with it.

Oh trust me, I'm really having to deal hard with the abrahamic stuff. As a former christian who is disgusted by the OT it is definitely problematic so I'm trying to learn it from the Hermetic angle. It's a struggle but so much of the western magical tradition is built from that foundation and, although I've practiced other forms of magic I just feel drawn to high magic. That dude even shows up in the PGM.
Sometimes I just have to take the chaos magic approach, suck it up, and roll with it because it works.
John Michael Greer has a really good book on geomancy and the blog Digital Ambler is a great resource.
It looks a lot more complicated than it is.

Well if you wanna get ceremonial with high magic stuff without any abrahamic taint, daoism can scratch that itch. The stuff by Jerry Alan Johnson can get quite in depth with ritual tools, talismans, consecrating things, ritual stepping and hand signs etc etc. I'm still scratching the surface so I kinda just do a homebrew regimen which is ringing a bell at the start, the 6 healing sounds, visualizing my organs glowing with the elements, calling on some personal deities, a bit of microcosmic orbit to connect to the flow of divinity, manifesting things to happen the next day through the interplay of yin and yang, and finishing it all with bowing to the 5 directions.
