Fatigue after doing the LBRP

After over a decade away from magick, occultism and esotericism I decided to ease my way back into that world again. I've started simple by doing the kabbalistic cross part of the LBRP. I chose to keep it simple so that I could refresh my memory on how to do it properly. But I've noticed something very curious that I have not experienced before.

I end up feeling very fatigued, drained, after doing the kabbalistic cross.
Any thoughts on why this could be happening?
Any suggestions to help move past this?

I sincerely appreciate any suggestions or advice.

This happened to me. The spirits attached to you (ancestors, local spirits, parasites, etc.) are basically telling you to knock it off. Set up an altar with offerings and tell them politely that they need to either get with the program or leave you alone.

I never liked this whole rite. It invokes beings and powers that are not actually bound to answer.

As a beginer myself I'm curious about the altar. I do this for personal ancestors and my guardians in general but haven't done it for any of the specific ones I'm calling upon. Does general thankfulness to the heavens count? Or do I need to be more specific if I'm working with beginner invocation/banishing?

I let my intuition guide me so ymmv. I set out an offering of incense, a candle, and water and I call out for the protection of the spirits that aid and guard me first (naming them if there are any specific ones), and ask them to take part in the offering. Then I call out the spirits who are causing me problems and invite them to take part in the offering, but I tell them that I don’t want them around if they’re going to cause problems. If they want to help me I tell them they’re welcome to stay and take part in future offerings, but if not they need to go away.
Because we are embodied spirits, spirits without bodies want to use us to either feed on try enact their own will. When you do banishing rituals like the LBRP you’re basically telling the spirits around you to fuck off, and some of them get pissy and try to retaliate. Setting out an offering and verbally telling them what you will and won’t tolerate from them is friendlier and lets the spirits leave on their own terms.

kabbalistic cross part of the LBRP
I had a lot of fatigue with LBRP LIRP and middle pillar. These small rituals took out all the energy and gave a weird dry feeling, as if everything was taken out. My solution to it was "strengthening" the spiritual engine and the use of invocations which gave replenishing effects, in my case the monastic methods. The same fatigue happened quite a lot with psalms, it was really annoying, either completely drained or totally stacked, opposite effects occurred, more on the drained side.
One thing was the processing. Too much processing of long texts gave fatigue while mantras did the opposite, gave a strong charged feeling without any fatigue.
The Hebrew names in LBRP & QC are hot :unsure:I would recite the LBRP names on beads, the effects will change over time. It does take a while though.
It involves a lot of processing of energy and information, do it as an exercise. Like say reciting the middle pillar hundreds of times. At some point it will strengthen the system. Mentally you will get used to processing more and more.
It's a slightly crazy and wild method but works well.

I really appreciate everyone's insight. It has given me some things to reflect on.

If it helps, my beliefs and practices comes from the Judeo-Christian perspective. One thing that draws me to the Kabbalistic Cross in particular is that it is basically the Lord's Prayer. (I am one of those pesky Christian Witches) I do not work with ancestors so I do not have altars for any.

I have been wondering if this fatigue was a cleansing process kind of like getting rid of the muck before healing can take place.
Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Lord's Prayer is a frequently (though at least unknowingly) misunderstood arcanum of the Church. One who says it with intent dissonant to its meaning effectively curses themselves.

This is perfectly normal, and nothing to worry about, like @ribbit93 said. I've seen many beginners experience such post-ritual fatigue, including a number of my students. This happens particularly when you do a more advanced practice you haven't performed before, but it may also happen after a longer break, as in your case. Your physical and spiritual bodies are simply not used to the forces you're working with. This usually passes after a few days of regular practice. Just keep going, but take it easy, don't push yourself.

If you practice everyday for more than a week and the symptoms are not lessening, then something else might be at play. Let us know then.

That is also true. I see that it's quite common for practitioners to get mildly sick (e.g. a cold) when restarting practice after a long time. I consider that such a cleansing.
