Just watched this movie on YouTube

stop motion and live action depiction of Faust
They way he summons mephistous and uses the magic circle is quite accurate (even tho there’s no triangle of manifestation but will forgive them ) with the stop motion giving very dream like motion

I really recommend it if you guys looking for occult movies !

This is the one with the big wooden puppets and the claymation homunculus, right? I fucking love that movie, I've watched it like three times. Great movie to subject friends to.

I suppose I should add what my primary takeaway from the movie is. It's the constant presence of the hands manipulating the puppets from above. There's this pervasive underlying theme throughout the movie that there's a conscious force manipulating things behind the scenes, but it's also shown that that force is just a sort of echo of the lowest level of the play, the mundane actor leaving the set. It's the perfect companion movie to The Holy Mountain. We are the Gods that we see in the external worlds, the hands that we see extending from just beyond the curtain are in fact our own subtle impulses.
