Hey. You like food? Give this a try, it's good.
It has
lots of calories
lots of taste
and only healthy ingredients
Preparing takes about 5 minutes
Baking takes about 45 of those same minutes
Ingredients:
75 grams of spelt flour
50 grams of hot water
a handful of blueberries (or any other fruit)
a handful of walnuts (without the shells)
a handful of pumpkinseeds (without the pumpkin)
a tablespoon of honey
7.5 grams of yeast
one pinch of salt
some extra (fine) flour
Mix the spelt, the salt, the nuts and seeds, the honey, the yeast, and the fruits. You can take any fruit you want, I make these with apple, kiwi, and berries.
Now add the hot water, and carefully mix with a spoon. Try not to crush the berries (they'll explode in the oven anyway). This dough is super sticky and moist. Don't use your hands. Take the spoon and gently scoop everything together.
Add a tablespoon (or so) of extra fine flour to give this wet doughball a thin coating. The texture is such that if you hold the dough in your hands longer than 3 seconds it will run through your fingers. That's okay, it's why you use some extra flour to coat it.
Drop a spoon (or so) of the flour on a baking tray, place your doughball on there (make sure the bottom is coated so it won't stick)
Temperature and baking:
You might want to experiment with this a bit the first time. I always place the tray in my oven, set the temperature at 230 Celsius, turn it on, and when the thing tells me it's hot I dial it back to 200 Celsius and then bake it for 25 minutes.
After these 25 minutes, I take it out and remove it from the tray. Hold it under the tap to wet it, and return it to the oven for another 20 minutes at 200 Celsius. Then take it out and let it cool for a couple of hours.
It looks, smells, and tastes almost like pastry. Just needs butter and nothing else.
