There has been a running theme from Gods and spirits that I have talked with over the years. When conversations get casual I have often asked if there’s anything they miss about living.
And there’s some things that are sad. When I have vesseled Goddesses in past lives or in this one, one of the things that they want to experience is the tactile feeling of fingers being ran through long hair. So I’ll let them play with my hair.
But the most common thing that I hear talked about… is food.
Which cracks me up a little. Because a spirit once told me, “you know, food use to really suck. No longer having to eat was a blessing. And then humans had to go and make it amazing.”
To me it almost feels like an inside joke.
The spirit world went from, “oh thank the Gods. I no longer have to eat bland stinking fish or anything else terrible.”
And then the living had to go and invent apple pie, BBQ, pizza, tacos, burgers and everything else that tastes awesome.
and the spirit world went, “damn…..”
It not like all food sucked in the past though. A lot of spirits have told me that their favorite food is usually fresh bread. Lot of Goddesses like fruit for example.
But the situation of today…
I know for a fact that those inside of the veil are mildly jealous of the food that we’ve got now.
It’s also interesting to me that veil culture uses food symbolically. For example, sipping tea in the veil= sacred pause.
Breaking bread symbolizes sharing what the community has worked to create.
It’s also interesting to me how much sex there is in the veil. Which honestly, veil side sex is way better than physical sex in my opinion.
So you can have great sex!
But… burgers are off the table.
Some cult needs to figure out if they can train the veil on food better.
They might have half the pantheons going, “they’re weird… but bless their souls… for we have baklava now.”
