To preface this post i should explain my meditation area lay out. On my floor in fro t of my altar I drew the alchemical signs for the basic elements. Starting in th north going clock wise earth, air, fire, water. I based this layout on the daemons that rule the cardinal directions as explained in introduction to Daemonolatry by s. Connolly. With that being said Belial in the north, Lucifer in the east, Flereus in the south and, Leviathan in the east. In the middle of each triangle I put the corresponding Norse rune. Which goes as follows berkano in the north, ansuz in the east, sowilo in the south laguz in the west, and for the center I chose Raihdo.
I also put the alchemical sign for the spirit mercury in the center next to Raihdo. On the left side of this cross configuration I have the alchemical symbols for the twelve planets. On the right side I have the alchemical symbols for the representations of time, month, year, and the seasons.
I typically start my meditations sitting in the center and facing north. This time though I decided to face east. When I did that I immediately felt the presence of Leviathan and he (for me leviathan is a he) welcomed me into the void almost immediately. Once there I felt instantly at peace. I was able to focus better as well. I should also mention I wear the ring of leviathan on my right hand always. So maybe that added as well.
I was recently lead to a chant that opens the gate to the abene on a night prior. So maybe the energy was still there. Hecate informed me she did close the gate but its energy can still affect the area. So maybe that's what made it easier also. Needless to say I am going to face the east from now on when I meditate. And I will also experiment with the draconian invocation of leviathan followed by the chant to open the gate to the abyss. I'm really excited to see where that takes me.
