DISCLAIMER: I am no expert in energy manipulation whatsoever. I am relatively new to all of this. These are simply my own experiences, and I felt inclined to share my findings.

I have always intuitively felt that energy work is linked to the chest, and to our pulse. I have always been able to "pulsate" a small amount of energy throughout my body, to the point where I eventually begin feeling sleep paralysis symptoms if done long enough. The feeling is very difficult to describe, and I fear I will be of no use in teaching others how to simulate this effect. However, I made another discovery which I believe may help.

I discovered another technique, which I will refer to as "syphoning" in this post. I am unaware of whether or not this technique has been discussed elsewhere. If so, any resources you may have would be appreciated. I call it syphoning because it feels like I am pulling energy from a deep well in my chest. The more you pull, the more intense the feeling: shaking, jittering, tingling, dizziness, etc... Pulsing and syphoning are similar, but they are two very different sensations. Pulsing feels much more superficial than syphoning... it feels like you are manipulating your bloodstream. Thinking of pulsing like you are pumping residual energy throughout your body. Whereas syphoning feels like you are pulling energy from your very bones, from the deepest pit of your chest. Syphoning, I believe, is the superior iteration of pulsing. However, both pulsing and syphoning can be used in conjunction for maximum effect. Use syphoning to harness energy and use pulsing to pump it. Keep in mind that pulsing is not needed to circulate energy... syphoning is powerful enough to be used on its own. Pulsing is still a useful tool. I confess that I am unable to articulate the methods to learn pulsing... but I can describe my experiences with syphoning, so that hopefully you may discover pulsing by proximity.

I will speak plainly... I discovered syphoning through conscious masturbation. You must become accustomed to prolonged masturbation without ejaculation. Focus on how your body feels, allow all tension to fade. The most important things are to NOT contract any muscles, and to move your body during stimulation. Move your body in a slow rhythmic fashion, without tension and without contraction. If you find yourself nearing climax, this is an opportunity to circulate a massive amount of energy if you can manage it... begin by halting all physical stimulation, then breathe slowly. At the same time (and most importantly) move your body to help circulate the energy (you may have to move faster than normal, as the energy is more intense near climax). The goal is to learn to circulate/dissipate this energy without contraction and without tension. However, if it is impossible to halt your impending release, then use the finger lock method to seal your shaft and then contract your glutes. If done correctly, this will stop ejaculation, and you may resume your practice.

This process will take time. I discovered syphoning by paying attention to how the energy moves in my chest and by imagining how it might feel to have a full-body orgasm. I was also continuously attempting to redirecting the energy to circulate it through my entire body. This is how I discovered syphoning. I am now able to generate energy at will and induce altered states more efficiently. It is a powerful technique. I hope all of this makes sense.

Your description is fascinating, especially the distinction you make between “pulsing” and “syphoning.” The way you describe it reminds me of many traditional systems that connect breath, rhythm, sexual energy, trance states, and bodily currents. Even though different cultures use different language for it, the core experience sounds strangely familiar.

What stood out to me most was your emphasis on relaxation instead of force. Many people approach energy work through tension and concentration, but altered states often seem to emerge more naturally through rhythm, breath, surrender, and bodily awareness.

I also found interesting your connection between the chest and energetic sensation. In a lot of folk traditions, the chest/heart area is seen as a spiritual center tied to vitality, emotion, and life force.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and honest account of your experiences. Posts like this are valuable because they explore personal practice without pretending to hold absolute truth. I’d be curious to hear whether you’ve noticed changes in dreams, intuition, or perception since practicing this more intensely.

I am still in the beginning stages of this phenomenon (I discovered it only two days ago). The most prominent changes are deeper relaxation, and an increase in perceiving astral noise in altered states. I will attempt to keep this thread updated, should any new developments arise.
