Just a quick note on this prayer.

I've been experimenting a little, combining the Shem Angels here (which calls, like, all of them) with Neville Goddardian New Thought (NT).

I've had a fair number of visions using this prayer, but they are little stereotypical - the dream is like the classic Dore print of a descending column of swirling , sweeping angel wings - so in my sense of what this mean in terms of my practice, this is light mythic immersion where my everyday mundane ego and "Small Mind" personality are still super involved. I have not use it enough to get a sense of what deeper immersion might look like.

So far the combo seems to work well. Nothing too dramatic, healing an injury quickly, and uncrossing someone I care about so they are not depressed and their life works better. They're much better now, they got a promotion that fixed feeling useless as work. Subtly profound, I might call it.

It was very gentle. Works, but in a very generalized NT / Angelic sort of way. Like the world just casually changes, slowly, so it's as if the new circumstance was always there. This is not like dealing with Goetic demons, where they have their claws in the, uh, guts of reality, and they give it a hard, wrenching twist.

i can't tell right now if this is just becasue this is how I expect this kind of magic to go, or if I need to become more immersed, or what. I don't have anything needing angelic attending to right now, or else I'd try them out some more. It feels wrong to just do whatever random thing with sacred things, but that may also just be how I am wired too.

Thanks guys.

For sure, I get the idea about this prayer appears to be a bit stereotypical.

However, mind you, in this case, I’m going to ask: what is the "egregore" you operate within?

For those living a personal Christian life, I observe that performing this ritual is akin to attending Holy Mass, being within the vast space of a church and receiving blessings from the Lord, as well as from the many years one has lived.

As being the author, I also performed this work within this specific "egregore".

Therefore, I certainly cannot guarantee that others will experience the same sensations.
For decades, I have made it a personal habit to enter any church I come across and tap into its energies as well.
But I reiterate: regardless of my current practices, my family background is rooted in Orthodox Christianity.
Thus, for anyone with a Christian background, I am absolutely certain of the ritual's outcome, which is generally the same feeling one gets when witnessing a Holy Mass celebrated by a genuine Christian priest.

It will never be the same experience for people from other spiritual paths who are accustomed to different "eregores"; nevertheless, the great 72 angels will be present if the call is sincere.

Gilberto! So good to have you here. Much respect to you, sir.

You put together something amazing here! Most people spend a lot of time trying to pick out one of the Shem. Calling on them all was brilliant!

Many apologies if I gave any offense. I just do not like uptalking rituals and tend to speak in very measured and humble language, mindful of my own subjective limitations, and being respectful of other people's mythic frameworks (or lack thereof).

I am Mexican-American mestizo (Anglo-Latino) and a weird Folk Catholic. Half my family are Cradle Cath Latinos, and the other side Anglo-Jewish. I was raised a very urban secular nerd. My background is Vodu, a Grim Verum magican since the 1990's, and brujeria with a fondness for Anglo esoteric traditions. I am a Neoplatonist intellectually, but my heart is very much Catholic after an apparition of the Virgin appeared (as still occasionally does, bringing with her the odor of roses and citrus and and other people around me can smell). She appeared one day after a couple of years of me daily saying the Catholic prayer for my deceased hougan. I lose all intellectual humility talking about her, so I try not to gush too much publicly. :)

OK, the vision I would see using your excellent rite is the similar to the one I see at Mass. Another esoteric Catholic magician writing on Substack recently shared his vision at Mass, and the similarities to mine were marked and astounding. That said, I do try to be very humble, and not sound like I am selling Catholicism, or Christianity. English-speaking occultism is very Protestant. All good, but the cultural barriers and misunderstandings are quite marked.

All the best to you and yours, good sir!

I am happy that this prayer has touched your heart and soul.
But the credit does not belong to me. First and foremost, it goes to the immense power of God.
There is also a bibliography cited for this, which is where I got the idea for this little book.
