Have you ever wanted to play games about magic?
From my experience games about magic are not only fun, they also give you perspective about magic that is otherwise well established but not always known.

Here are two games about magic that I played myself and so can guarantee they're good, both are rated high on steam too:

In Potion Craft you plant herbs and mushrooms in your garden, create magical potions that need to be explored on a special map and then sell it for coins to merchants and costumers who come to your shop and have their desires or needs for potions about some effect.
You use coins to buy new seeds, plants, crystals, garden upgrades, recipes and other items.

UI in this game may look like low quality but it doesn't matter much because it's not the UI that makes this game special, it's game mechanic that is very good:

Master of Magic is a 4X strategy game where you expand your empire, research spells and compete with other wizards for dominance over the world:

This are the two I recommend because I played them, there are however another two games that are on my wish list to play soon, both also rated high on steam:

Potion Tycoon

Iratus: Lord of the Dead

If you know of more games about magic that are good with positive rating please share them.

I'm not sure if it's that good of a game to mention here but the game some people here know.
The good old old-school RuneScape.
Magic? Yes, you can make a wizard and cast spells. Different spell books can be unlocked. Blasts, waves, binding spells, lots more. You can fight others. Different character builds can be done.

The game though is incredibly tedious and lots of the content I'd say is just lame. The quests to unlock something take forever and can have high requirements. Boring to do them following some YT video guides. Some people enjoy the storyline. Minigames also can take forever.

Then again if you were to build a pure wizard only character it wouldn't take that long.

I used to play it ages ago, I definitely can say it was fun. It takes too much time though.

You can also make potions of all kinds and create runes for your magic.

Ah yes, I forgot to add, you can grow herbs for the potions.

I got into passion for magic with Warcraft 3 games, honestly.

There are tons of games about magic... But for myself I recommend Noita. Pretty hard rogue survival with free movement across huge map way beyond basic game and even that is not easy to finish. Also map is beyond basic template generated randomly so each game map is unique.

Also I quite enjoyed Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 5... wafting for new one to get out on Steam any time now too... it is being made by people responsible for Iratus, which is damn great game too...

Could list way more games, mostly old ones, but this is enough...

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a good open-world game based in Bohemia (Central Europe) during the early 15th century. One of my favorite activities is gathering plants and materials for making potions at alchemy benches. The developers added as much physicality to the process as could reasonably be expected in a video game.

Of course, there's a lot more to life in Bohemia than mixing potions. Some people find the combat system difficult to get used to. You surely won't start the game out being able to defeat enemies with ease.

I came to recommend Noita too. It's not really about magick in the occult sense (more focused on combat and surrealism imo) but the mechanics are top tier, and the possibilities are (almost) endless.

For true (accurate) occult mysticism adjacent magick in video games, I'd honestly recommend minecraft with some occult modpacks.

Grim Dawn also is heavily occult inspired and very true to the aesthetic.

Recently a video game came out, I think only for pc, really nice, it's called: The necromancer's tale, let me know if you try it!

From your description it looks exactly what you are looking for: magic, necromancy, alchemy and conspiracy.
