Hello Comrade,
My name is Tim the Anarchist Wizard. I got into the occult three years ago and it completely changed my life. I had a few weird experiences in my youth, but I had a few waking, sober visions that were impossible to ignore and completely changed my worldview and lived experience. Shortly after I happened on to the DaoDeJing and Daoism so perfectly and totally described my new reality that I wept with relief.
Since that time I have studied Daoist and Buddhist occultism as well as Western Magic and Philosophy. I received a very thorough and worldly education and studied linguistics and political science in university, which led me to Anarchism. It ties in very neatly with my new metaphysical views. To the point where I consider my Daoist and Anarchist practice one and the same.
I practice Tarot and am currently diving into the IChing.
I never had a creative bone in my body until the Occult came into my life. Now I am an avid painter and I love seeing what symbols come out of the brush and paint.
I have had the most success practicing rituals in a meditative/hypnogogic state over waking ceremonial magic.
I speak Arabic but am too afraid to seriously challenge myself to rawdog the Sufi texts.
I am a proud & ashamed American who thinks that an authentic American Non-Dual philosophy could save this country.
I have no one to discuss Mysteries with irl. I am always looking for a new teacher and/or friend. My mentors are LeGuin and Kropotkin and Moore and ZhuangZi and a thousand other parasocial relationships.
I recently finished the BaoPuZi and am currently reading Cleary's version of Ultimate Reality. Want to start seriously practicing the Lesser-Microcosmic Orbit here soon.
