Hoo boy I've been getting into so much conflict since starting a blood magic spell with my occult mentor. Like the first week me and my mentor did the first part of the spells, his executive assistant started attacking me out of nowhere and almost got fired by my mentor. Then later, I signed up at Equinox and this weird janitor at the gym walked up to me in the locker room while I was naked and started saying some weird shit like trying to provoke me, and also got reprimanded when I told management. Then this short raggedy looking guy at the gym took my equipment and gave me attitude when me and my personal trainer tried to get his attention, so later once I finished my workout I knocked over his bottle within his periphereal, and now he runs away from me at the gym every time he sees me (as he should). I just moved to Manhattan in a "luxury" apartment after being homeless for a while. I've been in my new unit a month and a half now.
Now this past two weeks, I had conflict with a female neighbor who brought her loser man to smoke weed in her apartment though it's against the rules and I am sure he's the one smoking because it's only been recently the smell happened and I heard a male voice in her unit I have never heard before. I don't give a F about weed, but FFS do edibles and something that won't trigger my service-connected asthma. The building concierge didn't do anything about it except take notes for record keeping, the management didn't do anything about it except try to contact the neighbor and send a message to the whole building not to smoke, and it still happened so I knocked on her door where I heard loud videogames and the man talking and I braced for a fight (I lived in the hood before, so a dog can sniff out another dog). They silenced their TV and didn't open the door. I knocked again, they still didn't open the door. Once I went back to my unit, I heard the man come outside their unit and throw things away in the trash chute (probably the evidence of weed), and then I told the management what I did and the management said they will go check the neighbor's room that same day. Now I haven't heard or seen the neighbor around for 3 days, I think she ran away to her man's place as the letter I slipped under her door is still there. Then I had a conflict with the building's evening concierge who exposed me to other tenants within earshot (not going to get into details), which was risky for my safety and privacy, and when I told him not to do that again, he gave me attitude so I went upstairs to put my bag away, then came back and then told him I want to talk about how he responded to my legitimate concern, then I informed management who apologized to me and said they will talk to him. Then today I was walking through the neighborhood and there were three young men from the nearby projects (public welfare housing) and they were taking up the whole sidewalk, and it's like the guy walking toward me was expecting me to move into the road to avoid him so I said "excuse me!" to him, and he noticed me and got out of the way while his friend who heard me started screaming at me "THE FUCK EXCUSE ME???"... but I think the other friends toned him down because I was in the right of way and it was immediate silence from them after that.
Maybe I just didn't notice being challenged back in Chicago where it's red and dark red all over the crime maps even in the nice neighborhoods, or in the military or even in the ghetto hood in the South Bronx where I lived, but I was NOT challenged this much until I did the blood magic. I never, ever had this much friction with people or had them start being passive aggressive or even full on aggressive with me like this until now. Not even the five ex-convicts I used to live with as a broke 20 year old fought me even though they would fistfight each other in the front lawn.
My mentor thinks it's the blood magic but I don't think he expected me to be challenged this much either.
