On the third breath, say:
“I stand at the threshold between uncertainty and understanding.”
Light the candle.
Watch the flame for several moments.
2. Opening
Raise your right hand toward the flame.Visualize its light expanding around you.
Say:
“Hekate, Lady of the Night Road,
Keeper of the threshold,
Bearer of the guiding flame,
Stand beside me at this crossing.”
Pause.
Then say:
“Where there is confusion, bring discernment.
Where there is fear, bring courage.
Where there is darkness, reveal what I am ready to see.”

Touch your forehead.Say:
“Light before my mind.”
Touch your heart.
Say:
“Light within my heart.”
Touch the key.
Say:
“Light upon my road.”

4. Invocation of Hekate
Stand facing the candle and slowly extend both hands toward it.Say:
“Hekate Propylaia,
Guardian before the gate,
Let no confusion rule my steps.”
Pause.
“Hekate Phosphoros,
Bearer of the radiant torch,
Illuminate what is hidden from my sight.”
Pause.
“Hekate Enodia,
Lady who walks the roads,
Guide my feet toward the path that is mine to walk.”
Then say:
“Not every road must be revealed.
Not every answer must arrive tonight.
Show me only what I am prepared to understand.”
5. The Water of Discernment
Place your fingers lightly into the bowl of water.Look at the surface.
Say:
“As still water reflects the moon,
let my mind become still enough to recognize truth.”
Remove your fingers.
Visualize the candle's light reflecting across the water.
Ask silently:
“What do I need to see clearly?”
Remain silent for several minutes.
Do not force an answer.
6. The Key of the Road
Pick up the key.Hold it between both hands.
Say:
“Hekate, Keeper of Keys,
I do not ask you to choose my road.
I ask for the wisdom to recognize it.”
Then say:
“Open what serves my growth.
Close what leads me away from myself.
Give me courage to walk through the door
when the time is right.”
Visualize a dark road illuminated by a single torch.
You do not need to see its destination.
Only the next few steps.
7. The Torch Formula
Raise the key toward the candle.Vibrate slowly:
“PHOS — HODOS — GNOSIS.”
Then say:
“Light before me.
Road beneath me.
Wisdom within me.”
Repeat three times.
On the third repetition, visualize the candle becoming brighter.

May I choose with courage.
May I respect the doors that remain closed.
May I recognize the doors that are ready to open.”
Hold the key over your heart.
Say:
“The road is before me.
