Basically, my take, magik refers to a collection of systems and methods that facilitate conscious regulation of the Essential and contribute to the ongoing structuring and restructuring of the realm of experience and the rules that govern it.
Effective systems and methods are effective because the frameworks they are built on map, more or less, to the processes of the Essential. Sometimes the dressing up of a framework (as seen in many cultures throughout history) has a purpose in psychological priming for Mind restructuring of the practitioner. Sometimes it's useless additions from those who think they get it but don't, or a show for exoteric minds to fear and awe over.
I am not a fan of dogma, universalism, fundamentalism, identity, Truth seeking, etc. I see these as insidious mechanistic traps of hive-minds to control thought, speech, behavior, and enslave souls. I am a fan of cultivating one's own ethos and living metaphysical framework that maps effectively and gets results; never mistaking it for Truth.
